The Dog in Over Peover

The hotel was very dog-friendly, with exceptional staff, great food, comfortable rooms, and a convenient location.

Food fabulous and location excellent

Mirrors in bedroom not suitable for ladies especially when getting ready for wedding. The manager very kindly found a mirror for me to use.

We stopped over at this hotel en route between Edinburgh and Southampton. It's deep in the countryside and yet close to the M6. We arrived on a lovely sunny evening. The outdoor bar was in full swing. We took our dog for a walk and then had a beer and dinner. The food was fabulous. Our room was very comfortable and so quiet in the night! The staff were all really nice and very good at their jobs.

Our bedroom carpet had a few stains on it; other than that, nothing!

Breakfast was lovely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely.

The orange juice at breakfast was cordial I would have expected fresh orange juice . The bed was a little hard and the hallway light kept coming on during the night.

The location was superb. The staff were welcoming and the actual pub was stunning.

I found the food to be very poor. The taste and quality let it down. Considering the price charged I would have expected it to have been far more of a higher standard.
