The quiet location

The bed and pillows are very uncomfortable. The giant king sized bed is built-in and squeezed into the wall so one person doesn’t have walking space and need to go around the other person or exit at the bottom of the bed. The mosquito net didn’t seem to serve a purpose. I had neck and back pains after staying for 3 nights. The bathroom is big but the configuration is very poor. You can literally sit on the toilet and wash your hands at the same time. Room cleaning was late. We did our fun dives in the morning and we got back around noon to an untouched room. The cleaning crew knocked around 3-4 pm to clean but we said no since it was raining and we wanted to stay indoors. The hotel wasn’t busy that time. We saw some staff sitting and sleeping in guest rooms that they were cleaning. The pool looked dirty. The food quality was below average but the price is above average. The road leading to the hotel is unpaved and very rocky. The two Caucasian staffers at the front desk were not the friendliest and as managers, they need to train their staff more. One of them forgot to arrange transportation we asked for and almost made us miss our scuba diving. The kitchen and front desk doesn’t open until 8 am so you can’t get breakfast if you need to leave early. The only option is to order sandwiches during dinner and they’ll refrigerate it for you to get the next day. They don’t accept credit cards which is super extraordinarily inconvenient. However, the options for nice, quality hotels in Moalboal are very limited. The hotels by the sardine run (Panagsama beach) are even worse. You can do the canyoneering 1 day, then Oslob the next day so you just need 1 night in Moalboal. This hotel is ok for 1 night. Any longer than that, I’d rather stay in Mactan, Cebu or at Sumilon Island in Oslob and do day trips to Moalboal.

Room view was amazing and all the local staff was super kind. Snorkeling rental was free. So isolated and peaceful. Organised taxi and trickle for us. Other guy which was the lady’s partner named Manual he was very kind and caring for us.

First impression was so bad when I arrived with severe motion sickness almost throwing up. The Spanish speaking lady was coldly said to me to give Passport. So I said I feel sick. She ignored and disappear. At the end they didn’t ask passport at all. No phone or amenity like slipper in the room. The rented bike from the hotel was almost broken the speed was not showing and had sound. The lady seems so unfriendly during all the stay. She should not be working there if she has attitude like that. She was working out around the resort and cooking her own food at the resort kitchen. No refrigerator or boiling pot at the room. The beach at the hotel can’t swim with so many seaweeds and sea urchins. Also no gym.

Paradise and off the beaten track but easy to get a tricycle to the town. Staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious and comfortable and the food was amazing. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again 😀

Nothing, our stay was amazing.

Once there the setting was good especially being able to swim in the sea. The water and tea were good. Some staff were good making a lot of effort to help

The access road is rough, no fridge in the room and the service was very slow even when empty - up to 25 minutes to get a cafetière of coffee. External add ins were comparatively expensive to other local providers and not great - eg the diving and coordination with Blue Orchid - the boat could pick up rather than having to use a tuktuk to get us to the dive school with a 15-30 minute ride. The boat also broke down. I also got lunch at blue orchid during the surface break which caused diarrhoea. No disrespect to the dive master but it would be better to go to an external dive business and arrange your own trip. The owners could improve the customer focus, attention to detail and value by training staff to a consistent level and putting a bit more thought into the overall service.

Great location, good food and bar is open till late Dive boats leave twice a day and take you to great spots, instructors are very friendly. They help with booking for all activities like canyoneering and oslob whale sharks viewing

The water supply in the room is not consistent, frequently experienced issues with bathroom flush. The restaurant closes at 8 pm and last order is at 7:30 pm
