The Wild Orchid Resort - Moalboal

Gorgeous resort! We were on honeymoon and they upgraded us to the honeymoon suite which was absolutely beautiful and had a private rooftop terrace. There's a clear lovely beach and reef right out the front, and a good pool. Food and drinks were great here too with plenty of options. Staff were delightful and very helpful too, rented a bike to us and let us use snorkeling gear while there. We wish we could have stayed longer, thank you for having us!

It's a little bit out of town but the peace and quiet was appealing to us and we had everything we needed, and with a bike we could just zip out when we wanted! Mattress was a bit firm but can't complain when the room was that amazing and clean and the mozzie net was the best we'd had (even though no mozzies in the room!).

We truly had a relaxing vacation here, even though it was just a 2-night stay. The host was very responsive, happily answering all our questions and arranging diving and transportation in advance. The suggestions provided were both helpful and timely. The room was exceptionally comfortable and clean. What made it even more special is that the hotel is located right by the sea — you can enjoy the sunset and listen to the waves from your balcony. Just a small tip: you might want to bring a container to fill with water, as bottled water isn’t provided in the room.

the view of the sea was amazing the view of thr sunset were incredible so worth the stay the private beach was fab the room sizes were good but you couldnt lock them as the locks were broken

its a little far from the town on a very bumpy road however easily accessible with a bumpy tuk tuk ride the food was very average- hit and miss

After three days in Moalboal, I was looking for a quiet place to simply relax. A 20-minute scooter ride later, I arrived at the Wild Orchid, where my wish was absolutely fulfilled. A very nice location, surrounded by beautiful scenery, a small beach, a great pool, friendly staff and a large room with high ceilings awaited me – peace and quiet :).. Great stay for two nights.

Really great place for a quiet getaway. The rough road to get there was worth it for the peace and quiet. Food here was excellent, the best i have had on my trip, and I am a fussy eater... You can walk straight out of your room and into the water to go snorkeling. Nobody here will bother you with annoying rules and regulations. Just go and enjoy yourself. I will most likely come back here. Hopefully on my return there will be a fridge in the room, as that is the only thing I can think that was a slight negative.

A beautiful place to stay. The sunsets are amazing! Gorgeous complex with clean and spacious rooms. The food is outstanding - especially the choice of breakfasts all day which is perfect for not so early risers! Hospitality is outstanding- the nicest group of people who made our stay even better. The resort is quiet and relaxing. Overall one of the best resorts we have stayed in during our travels across the Philippines.

Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend! The food was the best I’ve tasted in this area.

You know what…we arrived on a extremely wet afternoon in March after a 3.5 hr journey from Oslob and where immediately welcomed by 2 very smiley faces who made us feel immediately at home (love the Philippines) The location is amazing but a little cut off for those looking for night life who should definitely go further south. We originally planned for 1 night but stayed for 3. We loved just chilling out, exploring by renting some bikes and trying one of Sarah’s yoga classes. I had been canyoneering the previous day and my knees where sore but Sarah’s yoga class worked wonders. My overall impression was of a lovely resort in a great location with very friendly and welcoming staff, it is a great mixture of Philippines and westerners. Would definitely go back if I find myself in the southern Philippines again
