Guests highly rate the restful sleep and frequently praise the warm hosts.
USThis is one of those places that prove there are people who care about their guests beyond any expectations the guests may have. We had an excellent time in this oasis of tranquility in the middle of Mysuru. There are no words to describe how we felt beyond that. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in Mysuru.
ESIf you are looking for an authentic peaceful taste of old India - which is disappearing fast - this is the place. Lovely historic building carefully restored, engaging intelligent and very helpful host. Total oasis.

Only breakfast served and that also very expensive.
DEWe stayed with my partner in October 2024 for a few days and overall, it was a great experience! The house is centrally located and feels very historical without being outdated. Mr Suresh, the owner and host, was very friendly, open and kind. He helped us organizing activities and was very accommodating with any of our enquiries. And the home cooked breakfast was just delicious! Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at Hampe's homestay and would always come back.
We struggled to find the entry door initially but after calling the host, it was not a problem at all.
INThe host, Mr. Suresh Hampe was most accommodative and understanding of our needs. Though only a mobile number connected us during our stay there, he was always available when needed, within this sprawling mansion. The rooms have an old-world charm and of interest to elders as well as the teens. Elders, because it should remind them of how ancestral houses in India were during a bygone era. And teenagers because they can visualize how life was, a 100 years ago, in contrast to current day hotels and resorts with their techno trappings. A truly difference experience indeed!
There could also have been some activities and interactions, like a campfire and outdoor lunches. But we can't complain as we had a tight agenda going in and out of the resort. And we happened to be the only guests on this occasion.
INWe were totally in love with the whole stay. We were impressed with how a 120 year old mansion was so well maintained. Mr Suresh Hampe was really helpful and made us feel so comfortable throughout the stay.
We were a bit surprised with a service charge been taken when we had ordered food from outside. We weren't prepared for that.
GBWonderful 150 year old bungalow, really special to be able to stay in sureshs family home
Nothing
INA gem in a fast-changing city. This place is for those who want a quiet and clean place tucked away in one of the green parts of Mysore city, close to major city attractions. Mr. Suresh was very helpful in providing us with inputs on what we could explore in and around the city. The place is a heritage bungalow with all modern amenities for a comfortable stay. We had breakfast here and the food was home-made, tasty and light. Parking space is aplenty.

INFive of us(friends) went on a road trip from bangalore to mysore. we booked this stay. It's a beautiful space, traditionally built 120 years old bungalow. great location. Host was supportive and restaurant/icecream shop is next to this stay. Thank you Suresh for sharing this beautiful space with us.
INPlace and the ambience. It was a piece full area and house sourroded with bunch of trees and birds. Feels royal stay as house is filled with all ancient artifacts.
Price was bit high for this place & breakfast was not included. Charged extra 350 per head which we felt bit high but taste was good, homely food.
