Beautiful 1-Bed Apartment in Cork

DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY First, the address they send you in WRONG. The apartment is dingy, smelt damp, zero furniture other than bed. The shower requires a PhD to operate The neighbourhood felt neglected, verging on unsafe

Location was perfect for me.

The front of the property needs a bit of attention, not a good first impression. Weeds growing through the small garden area. This might be a recent thing due to the wet but warm weather.

Great location near train station and city centre

The location was OK. I knew it was a 20 minute walk.

The cleanliness, filthy in all the corners of the rooms and filthy shower cubicle. No blind or net in the ground floor bedroom, facing the front of the house where everyone could look into. An old, dirty pan scrubber left in the sink to wash pots and old left over condiments in the cupboard. No toilet roll holder or towel hook. The tv didn't work, you could only get netflix if you have your own account. The Internet password the host sent me did not work. The host told me the wrong address ( the correct one was a few doors away) she didn't answer her phone when trying to ring her to get in the property. Stood on doorstep for over an hour waiting. It looked like a squat, not a 'beautiful' haha apartment.

The entrance to the building is horrendous, it seriouslyis terrible. The apartment is definitely not "Beautiful"...its sparsely furnished and its in need of repairs (kitchen cupboards, bathroom floor tiles, shower is terrible, needs a towel rail in barhroom, needs a microwave and kettle, windows needbto be dressed all the way up to roof as lights from street are a disturbance and sun in morning (summer) wakes you up at 5am......

On the positive side, it was clean, there was parking, and the booking agent answered my call when I couldn't find the place. And she found wifi for us.

This was our least favourite accommodation in Ireland, for the following reasons: Oversold - it is definitely not "Beautiful" Address - could not find it. Google does not recognize the address. Latitude  Longitude is incorrect. Location - on a busy city street, a half hour walk from town Assistance - All communications were garbled and unhelpful. Although we were driving, I was given directions to walk from the train station. There were no instructions on how to use the radiators so we froze or roasted. Cleanliness - apt is ok. Front entrance is awful. There was stuff left in fridge. Decor - a lot like a temporary student dive. No pictures, no mirrors, no place to hang a towel, only 2 glasses, no cutting board, no toaster, no frying pan fit for human use.  Hot water fuse blew, we had to find and reset it. Water ran hot and cold. I would not recommend this place and will not book with Travelnest again. The only reason this place can charge so much might be that there are very few places to stay in Cork. But, after visiting Cork, I wouldn't recommend that anybody go there.

The entrance to the building is a bit dodgy. There were often people lingering smoking at the main door and as this was a ground floor appartment it was noisy and the smell of smoke seeped in. There was no wifi and the TV didn't work.

The bed was probably the most comfortable that I had in my 2 week stay in Ireland. We stayed 4 nights and were quite comfortable. Apartment was clean and had most of the things you need. Apartment on ground floor which is convenient and heating works really well. Also situated quite close to the City

I'm not going to lie, the building lobby is really dodge, dark and dirty and stinks of cigarette smoke but the apartment is nice and clean once you get inside. Also there was no toaster in the kitchen which is kind of must have in apartments like these. Shower was also a bit of a headache to operate.
