The place was close to Whitby beach, easy 10 minute walk there.

So I’m not one to give a bad review but I feel I must share the experience we have had to deal with this property and with this host. We booked this for the 4th of July - 7th of July. At arrival we had a slight issue with the entry code to access our room but we got there in the end, as we then enter in the ground floor apartment we are greeted by a damp smell, I am already aware that this property is very old, how ever considering it has been newly refurbished I would have expected no strong smells as such. I am asthmatic and do not do well with damp and dusty environments so this is when I knew this was not going to be a pleasant first night there. The rest of my family did not have much time to unpack so we mostly left our things in our bags and soon went to bed after showers and teas etc. It got to midnight and all I could hear was the guests that were staying on the floor above us, walking up and down the creaking floor boards, barking dogs, chatting whilst constantly being able to smell this awful damp smell in my room! I woke up with sore bites around the back of neck and back and so did my family. During our first morning, one of the clothing rails that was hanging on one of the walls near the door suddenly collapsed on us all and the pointy screw was sticking out which was hazardous seeing as I had my young infant walking around. We tried to phone the property owners several times, no answer, so then I emailed them urging them to fix this as it was not safe which I had no response back for the full 24 hours. I just could not help but notice how disgustingly filthy the floors and furniture was. Dust absolutely everywhere. Sand left on floors in living area from previous guests, dog toy found under a sofa cushion which clearly was not ours, clearly used sofa and bed throws as I had spotted a chocolate stain on one of them and the other stunk of wet dog!

Apartment was lovely. Very Clean and had everything we needed. Excellent shower. Kitchen was well equipped even provided tea and coffee. Tv had all channels. Great location to get into town and the spa

Difficult to locate the apartment as no signage outside to say it was the right one. Looks scruffy from the outside like a student flat. Expected more as listed as luxury. Not a good first impression. Carpets marked and dirty going up to the flat. Yapping dog downstairs. Security key system quite difficult to use.

Beautiful modern apartment with everything you need. Fab little outdoor space too! The decor was stunning!! Wonderful location ! Had a great week away!

Beautifully decorated apartment, finished to a high standard. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed. As a coffee addict, the coffee machine was a welcome bonus too. The living area was lovely and comfortable too and it was nice to have a table in the window for dining. A great location for all Whitby has to offer. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this accommodation and we’ll definitely stay again.

Beautiful spacious apartment in a great location. The apartment had everything we needed, and more, for a relaxing, comfortable stay. Couldn’t recommend highly enough and we’ll definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay in the penthouse! You can tell a lot has gone into making it feel modern, comfy, and a bit of a treat. The little touches like the coffee machine with pods and the bathroom essentials were lovely. The electric lock took a minute to get used to but definitely better than having to remember a key. All in all, a gorgeous place and well worth the steps leading up to the apartment.
