Abbey’s Inn

Abbey was very friendly and helpful. She sent lots of information in advance and introduced herself when we arrived. The room was set up beautifully and was spotless. It had everything you needed even a great fan which was useful due to it being so hot.

The only down side was traffic noise.

Did not realise that it was a room only service until the last minute but there was coffee making facilities and cookies in the room to get us started

Abbey was very helpful with all her correspondence and check in was easy, the room was comfortable and well furnished, the large walk in shower was great. Tea/coffee and toiletries provided are a lovely touch. I stayed with my wife for a week and felt very safe and comfortable here. Thank you Abbey.

Great room

Modern and comfortable bedroom and shower room.

Lovely spacious bedroom, with a great sized en-suite. The property was very clean and homely. The host, abbey. Was delightful, very helpful and very happy to help. She was very warm and welcoming, and pleasant to talk to, she was even kind enough to email me, with glowing recommendations for local facilities, and distances. My friend and I thought this was very helpful and nice of her.

Immaculately clean, nice location, good communication & information from host about local and nearby amenities

Nothing, would have stayed another night but room was already booked, so nothing negative.

First of all the owner was very good and very helpful in her communications. The room was very nice and the very well looked after (to the point where I was asked to take shoes off just in the main door to keep carpets clean, which to me is a good sign). The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom very good with large shower, and there was a TV with Freeview channels plus Apps such as Netflix, plus tea/coffee/bsicuits in room. I would definitely recommend staying here for the great host, the lovely room and good location to access the local area. Note it was a room in a house with a few other rooms (and upper floor where the host lives I believe) but was totally suitable for my needs.

Minor points really but would be better to have curtain on the window as very bright in morning with just wooden slats which might affect some people. Also the room is not air conditioned as stated in booking.com; it does have a very good Dyson blower to blow the air around but it does not chill the air, which might be an issue for someone who requires low temperatures to sleep (aircon tends to be only in hotels to be fair).

Absolutely brilliant location as well as facilities. Lovely hosts and super convenient food options!
