"Freezing cold"

The room was tiny but overall the place was clean and had access to a nice kitchen and shower.

It was freezing cold. the heating is centrally controlled and was locked with a pass. It brought me back to my student years dealing with stingy landlords. The host didn't respond to my request. The thermometer showed 12 degrees in the morning.
