Kasu Lodge - Sneinton, Nottingham

Nothing, this was a real eye opener. I didn't expect to find a property like this on Booking.com

EVERYTHING, the place was hidden down a very dark narrow path. No lighting. It was overgrown and smelly. It was dark as we arrived, no outside lights to help you approach the path to the door. Entering the property was the only easy thing. I had a message from the owner to explain the details. On entering the property the hall wasn't the clean. On entering the room it was tidy but very tired. There was a wardrobe that was broken and had it's door smashed up. The windows were open and had ivy growing in. I shut these, as you could here people at the door, like they were in my room. Cobwebs, dirty sills and the bed had been slept in. It was a white sheet with dirt marks. Not stains, marks. The shared bathroom was in poor condition. It had dirt and mould around the bathrim. The skirting and doors were filthy The taps has a build up of dirty around the top, and when you did use them, they spun with the tap. After everything we decided not to stay and drove home. 😒 Not the birthday surprise I'd planned for my daughter. We were going to the Christmas Market, and theatre.

I don't recommend it. No cutlery. No tea. No soap near the sink in the room. Uncomfortable mattress. No TV downstairs in the living room. Difficult to find the property. Will not use it again.

Nothing, it wasn’t as expected

Everything, bed full of hair and dust seemed like it hasn’t been washed in ages, dirty bathroom, getting there was even a struggle

- Good location - proximity to city centre. - Available parking - maybe I got lucky, but there was a free parking spot available nearby. - Room big enough for one night, and bed comfy. - Bedroom and bathroom were clean. - Decent affordable option available at short notice. - Easy check in - host texted me the code for the lock box at 2pm the day of check in. - Other guests were quiet, didn't really notice anyone else there the whole time. - Locks on individual doors - I've stayed in similar accomodations in other cities where the bedroom door didn't have a lock and it felt dodgy, not the case here. - My room (3) had a sink in the room, useful as the bathroom is shared between 4 rooms (potentially 8 people).

- Not easy to find - luckily I read other reviews first and looked it up on Google maps first. It's the second house on a terrace down a little alleyway. - Misleading description, there are no tea-making facilities in the rooms (and no tea, milk or sugar in the house), no TV in the rooms, and there is one bathroom shared between four rooms, luckily I read other reviews so was expecting this, but it's not clear from the descriptions. - The place looked tired, lots of chipped paint on the walls and scuff marks etc. Not the end of the world, but could do with a lick of paint. - The kitchen was poorly equipped, and although the rest of the house was clean, the oven was filthy. - That being said, you get what you pay for. I paid £47 for acceptable accommodation and I'd stay again for the same price. All my other options in the vicinity were double the price, so I'll take it for what it is.

It was very dirty, there was bed bugs, carpet Beatles and mould. And why was advertised was NOT what I walked into. The stairs outside room 4 were very dangerous. And the host threatened us and was being very rude and said how do we not understand basic English.

Close to City Centre.

I have gad hardly any sleep!!! People stomping up and down the stairs. Raining hard and the gutter leaks right outside the window of room one!! Dripping onto the fake grass in the garden. Really noisy... Really bad!!!!!
