"The Worst Hotel Experience of My Life: Booking.com, Please Blacklist This Property"

This review is a stark warning to all travelers, especially families. Despite extensive international and domestic travel using Booking.com for years, this was, without a doubt, the single worst hotel experience I have ever encountered. The Original Booking and Confirmed Late Arrival Two months in advance, I booked a triple room with two beds for my family—myself, my wife, and our two children. Due to our late flight arrival into Mumbai, I contacted the property 10 days prior to update my check-in time, informing them we would arrive after 12:30 AM. They replied explicitly confirming this was "ok." Abandoned at 1:00 AM We arrived at 1:00 AM, exhausted after a long journey, only to be told our room had been allocated to someone else. The staff claimed they only hold rooms until 4 PM and insisted they were not notified of our late arrival—directly contradicting their written confirmation. When I pointed out their error, stating they should have rejected my late check-in request when I still had a window for free cancellation, the situation rapidly deteriorated. When I asked for an explanation, the manager, Javed Akhtar, responded with complete arrogance and a shocking lack of empathy. He was dismissive and unhelpful, essentially telling me that the only room available was a tiny one with a small double bed and if I didn't like it, I could "go somewhere else." Imagine being stranded at 1:00 AM with two young, tired children and being met with such hostility and indifference. After 30 minutes of discussion and pleading, he begrudgingly provided only one extra bedding for one child, leaving the four of us to squeeze into an impossibly small bed and a single extra mattress. Because we were traveling with family, it was the middle of the night, and my free cancellation window was closed, I was forced to accept this unacceptable, cramped, and stressful arrangement. I also paid the full booking amount in cash at check-in.

Had ask 3/4 times for breakfast and the reception was ignorant and not helpful and have been overcharged for everything and trying to resolve the issue. They were not positive in their response.

The property was okay. The rooms were okay, not clean. Had to tell them. 3×4 for service had to keep on repeating going to reception. The staff were very ignorant.
