Quiet location. Leisure centre, pool spa, sauna. Large room and comfortable bed. Breakfast in the morning was great.

Location

The spa area needed quite allot of repairs. Such as loose taps, missing pool grates.

Breakfast was excellent. The location is fine even without a car as it’s near a bus stop. There are lovely river views from the spa and restaurant.

The spa closes at 8:15 pm not 9 pm as stated in the brochure in the bedroom so I went too late for a swim on the first night. Apparently the room info will be updated soon!

First visit to the Lakes area - I booked The Whitewater for the location and thought it would be a great experience-

We arrived late due to a bad accident on the highway which closed it off all day so had to find alternate routes, when we arrived at 4.45 we tried to book for dinner after showering and changing into something to wear for dinner. We were told they had a big group in that night and they were fully booked. The last thing we wanted was to have to drive back into town for dinner so we just went to the room. We decided to have room service - when I rang about 7 to order room service we were told they were too busy to bring up room service so we had no dinner. There was no refrigerator in the room. About 9pm when getting ready for bed I realised there was no power plug near the bed for my medical machine so I rang downstairs to ask for an extension cord which took an hour to arrive ( I’ll bring it up when I have time is what I was told) When I rang asking again for the cord they brought it up - I had been waiting an hour to go to bed)
