Lovely, 1898 Jugendstil Design Apartment, old Haarlem city Centre, Fully Renovated with Parkview near Amsterdam and Zandvoort, Bloemendaal Beach

Great location, quirky/artistic appartment, with lovely/romantic ambient lighting and gorgeous window seat. Helpful, friendly and informative host/owner.

The smallish appartment felt a little claustrophobic/cluttered, with a lot of objects and plants around the living and sleeping spaces and the outside porch area, but that's a personal observation/feeling.

De verlichting kon je zelf niet regelen dit werd op afstand gedaan. Door een defect (wat niet hersteld werd) bleven de lampen in keuken,badkamer en slaapkamer dag en nacht branden. Na diverse verzoeken hebben we zelf maar een en ander geregeld via de meterkast. Verder was de hygiëne ver onder de maat(de schoonmaakster was ziek!)

The apartment is stunning. I loved the style of the furniture and the general design, the window sofa is one of the coziest corners I have ever seen. Every detail is carefully thought to define a unique style, which will be particularly appreciated by plant lovers! The location is very comfortable, close to the central station and just in front of a lovely park on the side of a canal. Ahnandu provided useful suggestions for places where to eat, rent bikes, etc..

Quirky and cosy place...perfect for couples...amazing lighting, crystals, candles, deep bath and day bed as well as couches and a terrace. Really nice place close to Haarlem station (15m train to Amsterdam).

Lighting system was complicated and couldn't be controlled internally due to some issues so once that's fixed place would be perfect for a couple.

Host was were welcoming and helpful with information about the area. Very homely, arty and colourful environment. Be aware of the Dutch style staircase if you have bad knees otherwise they they would be fine. Great Bathroom and the balcony is a real plus for accommodation in Haarlem and was wonderful to sit out on for morning coffee and evening drinks. The apartment is location, location! Being jsut a few minutes walk to the bus and train station, making Amsterdam easy very easy and quick to access. Access to shops, restaurants, coffee shops, parkland, museums etc. was very quick and easy.

Anandhu the host went above and beyond in every way ....He kept in touch prior to our arrival and tracked our flight so that he was there ,literally on the sidewalk , to welcome us with open arms ! He showed us his beautiful , artistic , creative , comfortable apartment with all mod cons .and a bottle of wine which we opened and drank a toast ! His and his girlfriends art is everywhere in this stunning 19th century apartment Within comfortable walking distance to Haarlem station and the delights of Haarlem bars , restaurants, canals and shopping ..this is truly a delight .. But I have to say that best part of our stay was Anandhu himself , we kept in touch during our trip and he was on hand to assist ..really a memorable trip that I would highly recommend.

Excellent location, very thoughtfully furnished and appointed apartment, incl. c. 100 plants, artworks and furniture made by owner, excellent TV and sound system, comfy bed, well-supplied kitchen incl. 30 kinds of tea, pretty crockery etc. Flat is up traditional stairs, i.e. steep with narrow treads, and other aspects also require a degree of nimbleness, so would not recommend if mobility restrictions. Excellent sitting area, with fire and pleasant views. Handy for lovely Haarlem (10 mins) or anywhere by train (2 mins), but not noisy.

We would have been happier if the flat had been cleaned and prepared in time, but managed a compromise that suited everyone. We would suggest leaving some written instructions for the many appliances, as even with the long handover it was impossible to take in everything.

Location was good. The front room space was comfortable and there was definitely a wow factor. I loved the bay window seat. Also loved the individual art work.

The bed wasn't as shown in the pictures; the hot tub was a a spa bath so also not as advertised. There were no pillows in the apartment and no space for putting our possessions in the bedroom. The cleanliness was very lacking - the bedding was stained, and carpets not cleaned. Lot of clutter everywhere. Kettle didn't work effectively and the agreed check-in time was delayed by several hours. We were expecting something exceptional but felt let down.
