Affordable, Spacious, Bright, Warm, Unit in Central Whangarei

It was more affordable than some but not a good choice unfortunately. Clean enough but overrun with ants.

The driveway was badly washed out, worse than warned about. Heaps of ants which ruined some of our food and ended up with some at home after. All of a sudden no hot water. Not the nice break away we saved up for.

Alot bigger than what it looked, very spacious, nice and sunny. Great location as out of the city but only a couple of minutes to get into town. Aaron the host was great to deal with, along with fast communication. Served my purpose for an overnight stay while brother in hospital. So didn't really use the kitchenette, but it had everything you would need plus a microwave and fridge. Loved the fact that not only did the bed have an electric blanket but there was a hot water bottle in the cupboard. Plus the place was lovely and clean.

BEING PICKY Because I wasn't a tourist and out for the night I spent the night in, and coming from a big screen TV household, the TV was a wee bit small, but in saying that it did look like it was a replacement for one that was wall mounted.

Great value for money, comfortable and warm

Aaron was available to meet us and provide the key, it was nice to meet him and find out about the place, which is spacious and homely. Lovely comfy bed, a heat-pump to keep the place cosy (in winter times), good cooking facilities, wifi and TV available. A small deck with chairs and table, which would be lovely to sit out and enjoy the outlook in warmer months. Appreciated having parking at the door and it was definitely great value - we'd happily stay again.

Found on Booking.com but was more like an Air BnB style of accommodation and there were some things that you might expect at a Booking.com facility, such as toiletries and a hairdryer, tea/coffee and milk, which were limited, but appreciated having gas hot-plates for cooking as stove top cooking is not always available at Booking.com places - and there was cooking oil, salt and pepper available if necessary. Hopefully the roadway access will be dealt with soon - Aaron had messaged about this but missed that before we arrived.
