No place to buy fire wood
MAEverything was just perfect. The directions and arrival information was concise and very helpful. The cottage was very clean, warm and very peaceful. Everything we needed was supplied, plus a few lovely little extras. The location is superb with great walks straight from the front door. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you Vikki for a wonderful stay. P.s. loved the artworks too.
Going home!
GBWe liked the location. Being able to park at the property and also allowing dogs to be able to come along.
Could be a little cleaner.

GBNice location, quiet and peaceful. The cottage is very spacious, which we really appreciated during our stay and could with minor work be excellent. Overall, the cottage has potential, but it would benefit from some maintenance updates and a refresh to better align with the online photos, which currently do not fully reflect its condition. Addressing these issues would greatly enhance future guests’ stays.
We were looking forward to our stay but unfortunately left feeling somewhat disappointed. After reading previous reviews more carefully, we noticed that some of the issues raised by other guests still appear to need attention. The front door lock, in particular, requires urgent repair. The lock mechanism is loose and appeared to have been temporarily packed with cardboard and small sticks, which made both locking and unlocking the door difficult. On our first day, we were genuinely concerned we might not be able to open it. For safety and peace of mind, this really should be properly fixed. A few light bulbs were not working on arrival. While not a major issue, it’s not ideal to have to search for replacements at the start of a stay. Similarly, the bath tap leaks continuously and would benefit from repair, as it is difficult to fully stop the water flow. The cottage would beneifit from black out blinds on velux sky lights and some windows have no blinds at all. Storage space was limited because the main cupboards were filled with spare bedding. For a four-day stay with three guests, only one kitchen tea towel and one bathroom hand towel were provided, which felt insufficient. In addition, bathroom toiletries were advertised but were not available on arrival, we had to immediately head out to get hand soap. The bed linen in the master bedroom also had a slight musty smell. Although we understand the property is pet-friendly (which was our oversight when booking), there was a noticeable dog odour throughout the cottage. A more thorough airing and deodorising between guests would make a big difference. Given the 10am check-out and 4pm check-in times, we expected a higher standard of cleaning. Unfortunately, the property did not feel thoroughly cleaned — the floors did not appear properly vacuumed, and there was visible dust in several areas. A deep clean would significantly improve the guest experience.
GBFault with boiler

GBThe cottage was just as described, a beautiful cosy l setting a few minutes walk from the coast.
We had a few issues with the heating system. Not that the cold bothers me too much.
GBI wasnt able to stay long enough to find out.
On arrival (it was dark) we discovered the boiler was broken. We contacted the relevant people, they were rude, unprofessional and down right awful. The cottage was that cold we could not stay even for our first night. I gave them plenty of time to sort the issue however because I was unable to accept a free night stay at another time the owner started to lie and say I had broken the boiler, even though she previously sent a message saying that it was broken and she thought it had been fixed. She then deleted the message and i have proof. The whole thing was very traumatic. I had to get me daughter back in the car and travel back home which was a long drive. Hopefully booking.com will refund our money as the cottage was not fit for purpose. There was also a fly in the fridge and the staircase is unsafe especially if you have disabilities like myself. Lots of pages from the guest book were torn out, im assuming they did not want anyone to see any bad reviews. There were also no spare pages for us to write any reviews either. Definitely avoid this cottage and probably the one next door as its the same awful people who run it. I have all the evidence I need so hopefully things will get sorted by booking.com and we can put this nightmare behind us. Also be aware that it says pets stay for free (i have proof) but after I contacted her about the broken boiler she tried to say i owed money for my 2 dogs. Even though I have proof there was no charge for pets. It also says free stay for my 14 yr old but she also tried to say I hadn't paid for my child. I paid the full £170 for 2 nights stay (paid at time of booking). The cottage was freezing especially without heating and hot water .......AVOID AVOID AVOID
GBThe hospitality I experienced when I called them that night was wonderful! They were so happy to help, and it truly made the night.
It's not a complaint, but we had a bit of trouble getting the heater and hot water to work.
