"Excellent"

8.0

A good size for 6 adults, nice little seating area outside and good location for Buxton town centre.

We did stay on a very warm weekend but the top floor bedroom was exceptionally hot. The neighbour did approach us due to parking but resolved without further issue.

"Very Good"

7.0

Well located, with well equipped kitchen and handy to have 2 parking spaces.

The working men's club is directly behind the property, and their outdoor/smoking area is very close and onlooking the courtyard garden of the house so we didn't want to use the garden in the evenings. As we stayed for a long weekend, every night (Fri, Sat and Sun) there were events on there which ran until gone 11pm (10pm Sunday). I'd read other reviews about this, but didn't think it would be so bad; the fact it was hot didn't help as we and they had all the windows open so the sound carries.

"Very nice and comfortable cottage"

9.0

This is a very cosy place. Wen spent a whole week in the cottage as a family of six (3 generations). The kitchen is large with a nice dinner table where we spent most of the time. The bedrooms, every accommodates two people, are nice and gives room for some individual time. The cottage is very well equipped. The place is in a quiet area and close to the town Center. The host are communicating very well and provided us with a comprehensive guide.

"Great location and comfy property."

7.0

The property was comfortable and spaces. The kitchen was well supplied.

Stairs are very creaky so not so good when you have a toddler sleeping, these could be fixed. The oven wasn’t very clean. The garden is on a bit of a state and needs some TLC.

"Very good"

8.0

Very good location, close to the centre of town and a park to walk our dog. The kitchen was a good size with plenty of equipment. The main bathroom/shower was good

The beds were small doubles and not very comfortable. The ensuite shower was awkwardly placed, making it difficult to shower easily.

"A nice short stay in well positioned and presented house."

7.0

The rooms were nice and well presented. Easy access and off street parking. Close in to town.

Creaky stairs very loud. Beds felt a little small - used to King size. Stock of first night logs not available (although probably not needed).

"Lovely stay in very comfortable accommodation."

10.0

This accommodation is spotlessly clean, comfortable, spacious but cosy. It was an excellent place for my partner & I to stay with another couple of friends. We were able to enjoy the closeness of the shops, pavilion gardens & Opera House in Buxton on foot.

We were near to the WMC where there was music & entertainment on the Friday & Saturday until around midnight. This was fine & didn't bother us but if you want peace & quiet of an evening or have younger children it would be a bit noisy. We loved our room but it was up 2 lots of stairs.
