The apartment, which looks onto the large internal courtyard of a historic building, has been completely modernised and is very comfortable and well-equipped, and easy to live in. The area is smart, with grand arcades and a mixture of old and new architecture. There are good public transport connections close by. Our travel arrangements to Torino were disrupted and the host was extremely understanding and kept in contact with us to ensure that someone was there to meet us when we finally arrived. Many thanks for a lovely stay in Turin.

Conforter / blanket

The apartment is located in the rear building of a courtyard near the Porta Susa. The train station (which also runs to the airport) is just a 10-15 minute walk away. This was very convenient! City supermarkets are also just 10-15 minutes. You have everything you need for cooking (except a microwave) which was very nice. We used that opportunity quite often! But you can also have a very good pizza nearby and there is the Corner Caffe which supplies you with baked things. The best thing was the walkable distance to the city center (like 30 min) and the very close metro station (my conference took place in Lingotto) which runs like every 5 minutes. The flat was in better shape than expected and seems still quite newly renovated.

These were some minor issues: The holder for the shower needed to be fixed and the water is quite cold in the beginning but comes initially from the rain shower. Another thing was to find out how all the lights work as there are like 3-5 switches sometimes with combinations. There is an elevator but it is very small, so we had to lift our pram on our own. Getting the keys initially was a bit like a treasure hunt, but was quite doable.

Great location on the main street of the city, close to the main station, close to the center, very well equipped, comfortable beds, great contact with the owner. I recommend !

Spacious, quiet first-floor apartment was a 3-minute walk from the Porta Susa train station and 5-minute walk to the OGR conference center. This made it a perfect location to attend the VIEW Conference this year. It had everything I needed to cook some of my own dinners at home and on other nights during my one-week stay I tried local restaurants "Da Ciro" around the corner, and Emporio Gastronomico, which both had great pizzas. The side dish of friarielli at Da Ciro was amazing. I didn't need it during my stay, but it was steps away from the Vinzaglio metro station so getting anywhere on public transit would have been easy, too. I'll stay here again on future Turin trips.
