2 Bed Cottage Barnstaple North Devon Dog-Friendly!

Cute garden area, convenient location, close to supermarkets and takeaways, comfortable beds.

Sofabed was a bit uncomfortable for 4 nights. Lack of toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, seasoning etc.

Communication from the owner was brilliant, and we knew what to expect, where to park, etc. well before our arrival, so there was nothing for us to worry about other than enjoying our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our weekend. The garden was a gorgeous and peaceful little sun trap. The house was well located near the lovely park and the Indian restaurant nearby was brilliant. It was great that there was a really well stocked Spar less than 5 mins away, and also a Lidl just a 5 min drive away if we were staying longer and needed a big shop. We would definitely visit again.

The location was great as a base to sleep and dog friendly. The large park just a short walk away was a great place to walk the dog in the evening. We spent all days out and about, exploring glorious North Devon.

Sadly upon arrival the key box had been broken, so had to contact the owner who gave us the number to one of the other key safes, the entrance to the property is very clutter with what looks like DIY building items, and gives you the feeling omg what have I booked! The shared court yard is very cluttered and has electrical house hold items in use, i.e chest freezer and tumble dryer stacked on top of each other by the tenant in opposite property. We felt this could be a fire hazard and no means of escape, you would have to scale a 6 foot fence in the garden. Accommodation is in need of a few minor repairs. Both toilet seats need attention as they are very loose. Also kitchen cupboard doors are in need of attention. Unfortunately some of the plates and bowels were dirty in the cupboard which obviously were not checked by the cleaner. Also the oven drip tray liner is need of replacing, very greasy and smelly, hence we only used the microwave and dined out most of the time. The little private garden whilst is a glorious sun trap, is in need of a little TLC. Definitely not a cottage vibe!!!

Large unit safe location with close parking. Updated bathrooms. Able to prepare own breakfast in kitchen.

No close restaurants but brought take away.

Lovely private garden which is an absolute sun trap. Indian restaurant close by and had a very good meal - would recommend. House was spotless with very comfy beds. Fluffy towels. Very impressed.
