Matakana Retreat - Luxury Off Grid Lodge in Nature

The environment was really peaceful and close to nature. The design of the house was impeccable, and very thoughtful. You can tell a lot of love was put into designing it.

The upstairs shower had a little bit of inconsistency with the hot water and cold water, but only temporarily.

Everything was stunning the house and the location the common areas suited our group and it was close to the village but completely private.

There were no negatives.

The facilities were very modern and clean.

There was no microwave so it was a little inconvenient to heat up food

This place is absolutely beautiful and so thoughtfully set up for guests! The location is perfect - it really feels like a relaxing retreat. The amenities were awesome, and having fresh milk waiting for us was such a nice touch. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how comfy the beds were. The hosts had great communication & we’d love to come back. Thanks again for everything!

Just a few spider webs around didn’t really bother us too much though just a fear of spiders 😂
