Modern 4-Bed Watford Flat - 20-min to London

The location was ok…walkable to the centre of Watford. Plenty of shops around for essentials. It’s ok a busy street - we had no issues with noise ☺️

I requested a cot for the property well in advance for our baby. We arrived pretty late to the property so was expecting to put my child to bed, no cot made up. Half of the cot base thrown on the bedroom floor. After searching in the cupboards in the main top bedroom the base was shoved half up in there. Almost like it’s not been put away from the last one properly…no bedding for the cot so after putting it up, I had to make the bed up with bits from other beds. Not ideal. Whoever cleans this property needs a talking too. Owning a successful housekeeping company myself it wasn’t to standard at all. Dust all over the cooker, smelt funny, like it hadn’t been cleaned properly from the last stay…beds were well made but dusty and not swept/hoovered at all it didn’t seem…standards could of been better. No hand rails up the steep main stairs or to the top bedroom so be mindful of this if you have young children as they could easily fall…

Location was great for Watford town centre and train to London.

Rooms were unfortunately a little battered and of need of touch up. Walls have been damaged with handles of doors, radiator partially off the wall and a leak into the bedroom. Few stains on bed sheets.

Nice apartment, great location. In apartment was everything what you need.

The location was perfect for us to get to Warner Brothers Studios for the Harry Potter Tour and into London. Being so close to the centre of Watford meant we had plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The property really suited our needs as a family of five. The host’s communication was the very best I’ve had on any platform.

The property is situated on a street with shops and restaurants which is fantastic but also noisy with businesses working late at night and early in the morning.

The location is brilliant, very close to local shops and restaurants. Only a 5 minute walk to a huge shopping centre and main street. We were staying in Watford to visit Warner Brothers Harry Potter studio tour and it was only a 15 minute drive away. The property was very clean spacious and had good facilities and comfy beds. The owner of the property was very friendly, helpful and kept good communication from booking until our stay. I would definitely recommend this property and stay here again.

There were a few little snags and I am only mentioning these as the owner may not know about the issues. The tap in the kitchen is very loose and could come off quite easily if you are not gentle with it. There was no lightbulb in the lamp in the end twin bedroom and the remote control was missing from the first twin bedroom, but the remote for the living area worked on it as they were both Samsung TV's so this was not an issue. Improvements that would benefit the property. A handrail in the stairways as the stairs are really steep, my mother who has arthritis really struggled climbing and descending the stairs. The small window in the downstairs bathroom has plain glass, putting some frosted film on the glass would help for privacy when taking a shower. The last point is not the owners responsibility, but a local drunk, known to the shopkeepers downstairs lay outside the front door on our last night through to the morning and made it difficult to come and go, when we were leaving with our luggage.

Flat was lovely.

No bulb in bedside lamp Wobbly tap in kitchen Dangerously hot water Socket hanging off in back bedroom. Bed pushed up against heater which singed the duvet cover.

Very comfortable apartment, well equipped and convenient location for restaurants, Harry Potter Studio and London.
