Pineapple House, Cozy Garden Apartment, City Center! Marble-Tiled Bathroom! FREE parking!

Very well equipped apartment in a villa on Race street, a quiet neighborhood reasonably close to downtown. I picked this location because I did not want to ruin my team's finances by booking a downtown hotel at prohibitive rates (because of the American Chemical Society meeting - also my reason to come to Denver). However, I enjoyed it much more than a hotel room - it's very quiet at night, has a huge and comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, two TV screens with cable access and good WiFi access. I liked the idea of accessing by code - no card, no key. Never got to meet the host Angela, but she was very friendly and we exchanged a lot via booking messaging. There is a comprehensive brochure of things to do in the neighborhood - parks, botanic garden, etc.

As I did not need a car, I used public busses to attend the conference (it's walk-able too, but would take some 45 mins from there to the convention center). The problem is that closest bus #10 (on 12th street) is fine, but runs at rather large intervals, whereas the more ubiquitous #15 is on Colfax - which is not a "posh" neighborhood, to put it mildly. I used it during the day, but at night Colfax feels insecure, so I returned by Uber (count some $10..12 from downtown locations). Also, I could not find.. a BAKERY to fetch some breakfast - not in the neighborhood nor in downtown Denver, actually... Cowboys don't fancy freshly baked bread?

Beautiful place. Nicer than many swank hotels I've stayed in. Great communication from property. Fabulous walkable location.

Loved everything

Perfect size for our needs visiting family. Location walking distance from their house and parks and shops. Appreciated coffee and kitchen.

Spotless and very comfortable.

Absolutely stunning historic building near chessman park and super close to lower downtown. The apartment was the perfect size, extremely comfortable, clean and had the cutest decor. Can’t forget about the double shower head in the bathroom and the heated floors, felt so lavish. The mini kitchen was the perfect size as well with a small stovetop, mini fridge, coffee maker, sink, microwave and small kitchen table. Staying here was way more comfortable than staying in your average hotel room. Will definitely stay here again whenever I visit Denver.

The only dislike was that parking was available on the street on a first come/first serve basis. Be prepared for parallel parking in the tightest of spaces.. Now this is just me being nit-picky, but the cobblestone on the way to the apartment wasn’t the best for rolling a suitcase and you need to be careful.

The apartment was cozy, clean, quiet, and well-appointed. The host was thoughtful and attentive.

Clean, tasteful, comfortable

Lovely downstairs apt/living space with a very comfortable bed and all the amenities you need. Owner is friendly, thoughtful and very helpful and even let us keep our bags in another area while we walked around on our last day. Would definitely stay here again!
