GBWe were in the upstairs flat which was fine with us and very spacious and comfortable and suited our needs, thank you. We used the flat as a base to go to various places during the week.

GBWe actually stayed in the upstairs apartment as downstairs is privately rented. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed.
TV is subscription service only, BBCi player, ITVx, Netflix etc. There was a strange smell at the bottom of the stairs, not sure if has suffered damp in the past and had recently been plastered.
GBLovely apartment, perfect for me and the dog. Spacious, clean, 15 minute walk to the beach. Everything i could need was in the apartment... except a hairdryer, I couldn't find that despite looking everywhere. Host was very quick to reply to messages when the WiFi and boiler weren't working, and had someone out quickly to fix both.
Hard to find in the dark as the house had no number. Wheelie bin looks like it hasn't been emptied in weeks but there's no instructions to put it out. Not the hosts fault, but kids letting fireworks off at all hours of the day and night terrified my dog, they even came up to the front door at 10.30am knocked then let one off right outside when I didn't answer!!
GBGBGBLocation: easy to find, bus stop on end of road (through bus to Newcastle) , short walk from beach & centre of pleasant town. Local shop nearby, nice fish & chips in town. Woodhorn museum within walking distance. Apartment: very nice, clean & comfortable with all facilities for cooking, etc. even some biscuits, tea & coffee!!
Only minor issues: television is available through the Internet (a friend uses the same system); no welcome folder with details about the bins, I found the recycling bin outside and put it out for the binmen on Tuesday morning (!), but no sight of the big rubbish bin unless it was next door at the upstairs apartment. no soundproofing between the upstairs & downstairs apartments: you can hear people walking around upstairs after they get back & before they go to bed, but thankfully, not long.
GBLovely spacious apartment. Comfortable and warm. Shower was lovely, very powerful and beds were comfortable. Very clean and had everything needed. Really enjoyed, would recommend. Short walk to beach and front. Plenty of places to walk the dog. Very quiet at night.
Was further away than expected as when booked stated 9 miles though was 17. Neer minded too much as was lovely. Parking was on street parking which wasn't ideal when we arrived as had to park outside someone else's house though second night okay. Could do with some new frying pans. UHT milk was off so couldn't have a cuppa on arrival, had to go to the shop. No real dramas.
GBFlat cosy and clean. All kitchen essentials are available. Shower clean. Customer service is amazing, both over the phone and face-to-face. 5-10 minute walk from a beautiful beach where the locals are friendly and helpful.
The beds are comfortable and all three are single beds so may not be suitable for a canoodling couple
