"Fantastic cottage"

What was not to like! The cottage was cosy and comfortable and looks even better than in the pictures. The beds were probably the comfiest ive slept on away from home, and the location was great.

"Elegance and charm in a beautiful location"

10.0

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location! I loved the fireplace at night when it was cold and rainy out. The bed was so comfortable! The decor was perfect with a lovely blend of modern and historical. I loved being able to control the temperature downstairs and upstairs separately and the hidden garden across the road was beautiful! The little gift basket was so appreciated and I hope to come back soon!

It was a bit hard to find the property the first night but managed after a few minutes of slow driving down the road again. I couldn’t figure out how to work the coffee pod machine either, but nothing else to dislike in this gorgeous property.

"Beautiful and cosy period property"

This cottage was one of the most beautiful cottages that we have stayed in. Lots of history and beautiful views. Very clean, warm and has absolutely everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The host was very attentive and very communicative.

"Three Night mid week Autumn Break"

7.0

Beautiful cottage that had been sympathetically renovated to maintain its original charm & features..whilst providing modern amenties for 21st century living .

The Secret Garden was just that. Not at the rear of the property as expected as there is no back door..its across the main village road & down some steps at the rear of another property..as dog owners we found that difficult to use on dark & rainy autumn evenings & would not have booked it but the location of the garden was not declared as not being adjacent to the property on Booking .com...using the word 'secret' doesn't cover for its lack of direct access as pet owners. Pavements in this traditonal village are narrow so care has to be taken when walking pets & reversing out from the downward sloping car space provided...access to rear of vehicle for unloading dogs & luggage / shopping required we park nose in daily. Neighbours & local people were extremely hospitable & was a lovely aspect of the stay. On our 2nd night of a 3 night stay we found the woodburner had literally no kindling provided & not sufficient to light an evening fire for warmth when the central heating turned off. Having 3 log burners i do know how to use one so this was a minus for us. Going to the cooker on the same evening we found the grill had not been cleaned prior to our stay & had waste food attached to the wire tray.. The cottage was otherwise well presented & had all the charm expected of a property of this age.. & brought back many childhood memories. The lack of fundamental transparent information to prospective quests was the downside for us.. easily rectified by a new description on Booking.com. The actual property location is in Laycock village whilst stated as Steeton on the description which is much further ..There are beautiful views from the village with plenty of walks in the area . The many attractions of the Bronte country are close by & easily accessible by car.

"Excellent stay in a historic cottage above Keighley - cosy place, lovely views, and a great host."

10.0

Fantastic location and absolutely gorgeous cottage - we loved the feeling of history from the building, especially the old hearth. Incredibly cosy and comfortable rooms/beds and a charming secret garden. The host was very communicative and gave us all the information before we arrived.

Nothing, it was great.
