Everything was perfectly fine

The suite’s extra large space was good and enjoyable

There are many issues at this hotel that need to be sorted before holiday makers precious breaks are spoilt. This is a case of being unwillingly in an episode of Faulty Towers - Sri Lanka - paying over $600 per night for the privilege. On arrival we were asked to cancel our booking.com booking to enable us to add another room. Whilst our room was generous the excessively stained and worn sheets were well past the use by date and reflected the hotels attitudes. How on earth did the laundry pass the sheets and housekeeping use them we will never understand. The kettle was missing in our room and the kitchen lacked any conveniences - just 1 teabag. Again reflecting the hotels attitude and lack of hospitality and generosity. The restaurant and breakfast was so ordinary and depressing. We didn’t recieve one order correctly. I’m In a completely empty poolside restaurant and bar, we waited over the an hour for our drinks on the first evening. Twice we went to the bar to ask if there was a problem finding the barman sitting in the kitchen. We didn’t bother with dinner, something was off - the atmosphere stale (no music, no barman, just nothing) - the opposite to every other vibrant fabulous evenings we had experienced in Sri Lanka to date. Pool towels? Expensive Tuk Tuk ‘s arranged by the hotel manager and charged to our room - we agreed to pay to avoid conflict. We wondered why drivers were cancelling on arrival until we witnessed for ourselves what they were subjected too on arrival to the hotel gates. We ordered an Uber on our last drizzly night to take 3 of us to Galle to enjoy our last night in Sri Lanka at our favorite restaurant. As we walked up the hotel drive we were horrified to see our driver and car being attacked by the Tuk Tuk driver (arranged by the hotel the day before) wanting our fare. The Tuk Tuk driver tried to prevent us from hopping into the vehicle, banging the car and shouting.

Everything other than the room. Food was bad, service was bad and didn’t have proper food and brought bread from the fridge when requested and it was cold and not enough fruits and no choice etc

Approach, pool was 4.5feet like kids pool and small and there’s no spa and misleading to say 5 star and the so called spa was a shed with a dirty bed

Facilities were a bit tired

staff was exceptionally friendly and went the extra mile for anything we needed with our kids. would return always again. lovely pool, clean rooms, amazing view and he location is good too. you can take a tuk tuk and within 5-10 mins you’ll reach hikkaduwa where you’ll find some shops and restaurants.

The variety of dishes was not much and the portions of the food were rather small. But the staff will try to make anything you want.

- nicely decorated rooms - while small a very pretty garden - water-pressure is adequate - rooms are cozy

- highly overpriced for what you are getting - absolute disastrous service - breakfast is below any level of standart - pool is not a pool ( depth is lacking even for small kids) - no electricity sockets in the room - no service approach in the hotel - prices are fluid and do not get adjusted ( loyal customers who book in advance pay more than walk ins) - laundry and other services are used for extortion - no walking access to beach - restaurant lacks food most of the time and is overpriced - management is not responsive or cares about guests
