The Cosy Cottage, Old Soles bridge Lane

It was a convenient place to stay whilst we attended a wedding.

The parking was adequate but a bit tricky maneuvering and it wasn't easy to work out where on the drive to park. There was nowhere to sit outside.

Very pleasant welcome from host, offering help if needed. Clean, private accommodation. Comfortable bed. Good shower.

Everything was fine really. I couldn't get the tv to work, but am totally sure it would have done if I'd gone to ask for help - but I wasn't really bothered about it as had my book and was there only for one night. One very minor thing - couldn't find a small plate to put my toast on - only bowls or huge dinner plates. Again very minor. I wouldn't have chosen to be so near to the M25 as I am a country person used to quiet. But the location was good for purpose - a family funeral at a nearby village.

Perfect base for a friend's wedding. Just really comfortable, convenient, everything we needed.

Lives up to its name! Very cosy indeed, but the limited space has been used very well and doesn't feel cramped at all. Owners were very helpful with the directions and when we asked to check in later.

We didn't stay very long, from 10pm until 10am so it was a fleeting visit, but nothing stood out that we didn't like. I read some reviews saying it was noisy due to the motorway but we didn't find it noisy at all.

It was clean , cost and comfortable. Excellent location for what we needed.

A little bit hard to find in the dark- however the host send very good directions earlier that day that really helped.

The pics dont lie. It is cozy and the bed is tiny for two. it was nice to have a living room so one could have the bed on their own: The couch is not really to sleep on but you could have room between the parts of an older and well fed couple:-) We loved it on first sight. Everything was provided for, totally unlike flats we rent in Germany. We didn't even need to stock on toilet paper during our stay as there was enough there:-) as described, the cottage is a little house, perhaps a big garage, on the grounds of a big house, in a dead end street in a posh I'd say living area with large houses with gardens. The motorway is close and you hear it but after the first night it masked my tinnitus nicely:-) Asha was great in answering. Nice contact. Thanks for everything.

the only thing is the bed which for one would be ample. It didnt really hurt us though. The water wasn't too hot but we managed. In the last night some animal or other must have been around the house and the lights went on and shone directly into the bed room - that was a bit off putting. The only real thing that would let me think again before booking again is the area - it is totally lovely and green but no one walks the streets and the small lane is rather crowded with cars. We were very nearly run over and were terrified. Not a good experience. We managed to find another road to get up to Rickmansworth road, but beware, its uphill and then to the station its downhill again. Lovely secenery but google didnt really show that :-)
