Alba - Charming boutique forest view cabin with hot tub in Ballater

Brilliant location. Very nice area and comfortable bed decent facilities

Bad odour bed sheet but these things can happen definitely didn’t ruin my trip whatsoever.

A cute little cabin with a hot tub, lovely view and good location - close to Balmoral castle and the town of Ballater - nice for a quiet and chilled stay!

Maybe a little smaller than expected - still a lovely stay though!

I loved the design and eco vibe, everything was made out of wood and had nice green/brown/ beige tones. There are 4-5 cabins on site, but spaced well. The area is georgous, the town is nearby (with good options for cafes - ,mind you £4 for a coffee! - and a couple pubs, there's a lovely river walk from the property. The hosts were very accommodating with our change in dates and excellent in Whatsapp communication. The hot tub super comfy and we watched the stars from it. Good kitchen facilities, we enjoyed the airfryer - no freezer. Loved the Christmas decor!

A few small things. We stayed at Alba and the wooden platform on the side of the cabin leading to a car park is very slippery when it rains or if there's frost. Both me and my dog slipped a good few times. The treehouse room for sleeping is perhaps better for children, we tried it out and slept ok but it felt a little tight. Moved to the main bedroom. We felt like the drainage hole on the bathroom floor is perhaps too small, the bathroom floor was always completely wet, sometimes leaking a bit to the kitchen. In the kitchen, a spatula was badly burned and could be replaced. Towels and bedding had light stains on them but quite a lot. This might be down to using eco friendly washing products, perhaps occassionally a stain remover could be used (we understand it wouldnt be great to bin these of course).

Wow absolutely loved staying here. The cabin was just perfect for me. It had everything that I could have needed. The bed was comfortable and the interior immaculate.

Loved the location of the property and the close riverside walks into Ballater. Fenced in garden perfect for the dog. Modern cabin with great views and the hot tub was clean and just what we needed. It had everything you needed for your stay. Owner was nice. Thank you.

The water supply not working efficiently when needed.

We stayed yesterday night 10/10/25 such a lovely wee cabin easy to get to and not that far from ballater which is a little beautiful town easy access to get into the cabin when in was amazed how well presented it was from the 2 beds one which has step ladder up to it in the higher level and the comfiest bed on the bottom level the toilet has everything in it aswell bonus was the hot tub which the kids loved all in all amazing place to stay and the people who run it were amazing to 👍🏼

Dichtbij de rivier en rustig. De jacuzzi was fijn. Het huisje was net. Onze kinderen vonden de plek om boven te slapen gezellig!

De badkamer rook erg muf. Je kon er geen raam open zetten. Het douchegordijn is niet prakitsch. Douchen was soms een opgave. De handdoeken waren proper maar mochten frisser ruiken.
