Alba - Charming boutique forest view cabin with hot tub in Ballater

Host was lovely and very welcoming. Facilities great. And amazing accomodation.

Lovely quite getaway location. Very responsive via booking.com messages. Beautiful cabin with everything you need for a quick getaway. Nice touch with the bottle of red wine and the guest information booklet, made me feel well looked after by the hosts.

I found it challenging to figure out how to lock the front door with the upwards door handle motion. Perhaps information outlining this in the check in brief message could be helpful for future guests.

The general location and the land around the site - especially the short walk to the river. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating, with a generous and polite attitude

Access to the top bed is very awkward and not suitable for anyone who needs a toilet break mid-sleep. In the summer months, when it's necessary to keep windows open at night for some cooler air, the noise from the nearby main road, might be an issue for some (earplugs help)

Pretty cabin, well decorated and kitted out for its size. Royal Deeside is beautiful.

It is very small. The property the cabin is situated in is odd, with an unsightly static caravan and workshops.

Check in was really simple and the cabin was great, a bit bigger than we expected as well. Location was also ideal, would definitely stay again.

Don't have any complaints.

The views, the parking, the location to Ballater and the river, the layout of the cabin, the small wild garden and the hot tub.

Great location, the view from the windows is just gorgeous. The hot tub (the reason for booking), even thought it’s shared it wasn’t a problem and was very welcome after a day out and about. Good quality one as well. Comfy bed, lovely bathroom and neat wee kitchen. What they are doing with the space/grounds is braw. Well done!!
