"We enjoyed our stay but really needed hot showers."

The staff is phenomenal!!

Mold, beds are very hard, little flys all over, bath tub overflows, a lot of water on the floor after every shower.

"Affordable luxury, great location in BGC"

I was welcomed by Anna upon my arrival. She explained the numerous amenities thoroughly and strived to ensure that I was comfortably settled in. It was raining when I checked out, so she and the staff even went out of their way to assist in taking my luggage out to the car. Great, walkable location. I highly recommend EG Private House.

Overall the location and the property were great. It’s walkable to many restaurants and places nearby and was easy to get a ride in front of the building. The property itself was well maintained for the most part and kept clean. Communicating with the staff was very well regarding issues that came up. My only gripe was that we had communicated with management that we wanted to leave our baggage after check out for roughly an hour and was told that it was ok to do so only to go down to the front desk lobby and find out that they don’t offer this. Luckily the front desk was able to compromise and allowed us to leave our stuff with the condition that 1 person stayed to keep an eye on them despite the initial statement that we could only leave our stuff for 15 mins.

"Terrible experience – looks like a scam"

Nothing good!

This place is just a residential building with no real front desk or guest service. Everything about my stay was misleading and disappointing: 1. Check-in nightmare: Even though I gave my arrival time, I waited over 45 minutes outside before someone finally showed up with the key. No front desk, no service. There is a building front desk but for only owners and residents, not guests. 2. Stairs, no elevator: To get into the building, you must climb more than 25 stairs from the street. 3. Breakfast scam: My booking said breakfast included, but there was NO restaurant. Instead, they dump a “breakfast” in your room sometime between 8–10 am: two slices of stale bread with a fried egg and an artificial drink (see photos). This is absolutely not hotel-standard breakfast. 4. Room nothing like the photos: I booked an 82 m² Superior Family Room. What I got was much smaller, with a tiny, moldy, disgusting bathroom. The pictures online are completely misleading. 5. Dirty towels & bedding: For a family of five, only three old, stained, smelly towels were given. The bed had no sheets, no pillow covers, just a mattress with stains (see photos). Absolutely unacceptable. 6. Noise at night: Neighbors blasted loud music after midnight. 7. Pool closed: The pool was mostly shut down for “maintenance.” 8. Owner ignores you: When I realized how bad this place was, I asked the owner to cancel the rest of my stay and give a refund. I got ZERO response. This was one of the worst accommodations I’ve ever stayed in. I wasted my money, ruined part of my family trip, and felt completely cheated. It seems most of the good reviews here are probably fake or paid (there is no way anyone could honestly recommend this place).

"Exceptional"

The Apartment was Awesome. We had Breakfast every Morning and they helped us a lot. Miss Anna the Assistent, organized a lot of things we requested and even in the night was available to contact. Thanks a lot again for the effort Anna.
