"Idyllic"

10.0

Such a beautiful setting! Wonderful views in the most idyllic place. Loved seeing the lambs each morning, who were very friendly and welcoming! The hostess, Rachael, was also very welcoming and lovely. Little Ivy had everything we needed and was so cosy and warm. The bed was super comfortable, had the best night's sleep! We've stayed in many places in the Peak District but this was definitely at the top of our favourites list and will absolutely be booking to stay again! Cannot recommend highly enough 👌

"Comfortable cottage with beautiful views."

9.0

The location was superb. Beautiful outlook! There were lambs in the field and the owners allowed our grandchildren to help with the feeding, which they loved. Good amount of space inside and a large dining table. Towels etc were of good quality and the property was well provided with utensils, cutlery and crockery

Beds and pillows could have been more comfortable. Would be good to have a dedicated outdoor seating area. The fridge/freezer was too small for 6 people. Would have helped to have a shower {even over the bath} in the upstairs bathroom.

"Peace in the Peaks."

Peak District farmhouse on the outside, modern and comfortable on the inside.Well equipped and clean. Plenty of space. Very rural with friendly lambs :-)

Not much. The excellent shower is a walk downstairs - but it is excellent.

"Absolutely lovely stay. Hosted by Rachael who was fantastic and hospitality was amazing"

10.0

The property was perfect for us as a family of three and we used it as a base to the Peak District. Beds were super comfortable and loved the cow themed bedsheets and wall art. In the winter the heated under floor heating will be very toasty.

Nothing, will definitely stay again.

"Charming, would stay again."

10.0

The cottage was very charming and clean. Everything seemed new and updated while the ‘old cottage’ feel was also there. We especially appreciated the heating as we stayed when the weather outside was fairly cold. We moved around with a car and everything was located close by, but there were also paths from the property to take a walk between the fields and appreciate the area. Rachael was a lovely host when communicating with us.

The pet fee was slightly pricey.

"A peaceful, comfortable, and family-friendly stay with a thoughtful host - highly recommended!"

10.0

The location was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. It's just out of the way that it's very peaceful throughout the day and evening, but still close enough to drive to other places that we want to visit. There's ample parking space for our family car and the host graciously set up the house so it's warm when we arrived. The shower had good water pressure and the kitchen was fully stocked. The sunset view is absolutely stunning. Finally, the snug is absolutely perfect for our 18 month old to explore and play in without needing to worry about him injuring himself or damaging anything valuable. And on that note, we're really appreciative of the cot provided.

If we had to nit pick, I suppose I found that if the orientation of the roller blinds in the bedrooms were flipped, they would be able to provide a near-perfect blackout setting which could be important to some people. We were there during winter so this wasn't an issue at all. We only noticed this during one afternoon when we put our little one for his afternoon nap.

"Will definitely be back in the spring/summer to explore some of the lovely walks"

9.0

Cosy little annex which had everything you could possibly need plus the must spectacular views

The directions to find the place weren’t so great. Didn’t say if you turn left or right off the road & the worn property sign set in the stone wall was over shadowed by the much more prominent sign above it for a different property!?!

"A warm, comfortable home from home with stunning views and a fantastic host."

9.0

Little Ivy is a beautiful place to stay. It's quite central to lots of places but far enough in the countryside to be very tranquil with stunning views. Racheal the host was brilliant - answered any questions we had and nothing was too much trouble. I travelled with my 8 year old son and my mum whose mobility isn't very good (recently diagnosed with Parkinsons). The accommodation is all on one level aside from a small step between the sitting room / kitchen and the sleeping areas. Rachael was able to let me know this when I asked and so we took a little half step that my mum uses for when steps are too deep and it worked perfectly. The beds were at a nice height as was the chairs and sofa - they were sturdy too - meaning mum could sit without any worries. The whole place was spotless and well equipped. Parking was directly outside. It was lovely and warm, with a lovely shower. We'll definitely be back to stay again - especially as it's dog friendly too. (Please note there is no enclosed garden but Rachael is working on this for the future!) I'd highly recommend this accommodation to anyone and the responsiveness of the host was excellent. Please bear in mind the pictures I have shared are after we stayed so the bedding and towels etc didn't look like this when we arrived - it was much neater!!

The internet was a bit dodgy when trying to watch tv and lots of interruptions - but the weather was really bad on a few occasions so perhaps this was to blame. Due to really Heavy (and I mean really heavy) rainfall the back gutter was over filling... (I forgot to mention this to Rachael - and have no doubt it would have be sorted asap) - But given the leaves and the weather this is not really a fault - just kept me awake a little.
