We were upgraded to the Hera cruise . The staff were superb. Ming who looked after us for our stay and coordinated everything was brilliant. The quality of the food was excellent. The schedule was busy but it needed to be to get all the trips and excursions in. Well worth it.

We were in then Hera cruise as the Amanda was out of service

- The service staff were attentive and on board tour guide Minh kept us on time and on our toes with schedules. You could say he ran a tight ship. - We asked for a non fish menu and it was well catered for us. - The admin team that contacted us via WhatsApp were efficient as organising transport to and from our hotel.

- The AC split system was old and struggled. - The photos of the Hera Grand Luxury don’t match the current state of the boat. Like a dating app, they looked way better than reality. We got bumped from the Amanda Halong to another boat in their fleet the Hera Grand Luxury. Whilst sounding like an upgrade, the upgrade boat in reality is a lot more degraded than the photos. What someone described as Classic Indochina I described as “old and tired”, with weeds even growing along edges of the deck and life rafts looking old and worn as pictures attached show.

Food was really good. Customer service very good too. Rooms are quite comfortable, pillows not so much though.

We took a 3D2N cruise and we thought the 1st day tours are a common and very bad choice: way too crowded. Day 2 activities were fantastic on the other hand. Also, the manager of the boat was a bit rude sometimes which we thought it was due to a certain level of stress (crowded activities doesn’t help).

Everything. The boat was great, staff super friendly and helpful. Activities were great and explained well. Our room was beautiful and the bath with a view amazing. Dinner was fab and we only wish we had had longer on board.

Great cruise boat, nice food and drink options and very welcoming and friendly staff. Transport to port was convenient and comfortable and worked out as planned. Thanks Andy. 🙏

The view of Ha Long bay was beautiful and it was serene away from the bustling Hanoi.

The one night two days cruise felt quite busy as we were either eating or doing some activities. It could be more relaxing.

Gave a 5 only because we appreciated the upgrade to a bigger cruise and room—thank you for that. We really loved the room, it was spacious and beautiful, with a great sea view, balcony, and a large bathroom.

However, the itinerary and cleanliness were quite disappointing and need SERIOUS improvemeny. We were looking forward to visiting Surprising Cave and Titop Island, but only went to Hospital Cave. The kayaking felt rushed, and we didn’t have much time to explore. There was no bait provided for squid fishing, and we didn’t see any squid at all. Also, we found dead cockroaches in the room.
