"Good value for money, great hosts"

10 minutes by tuk tuk to center of town, first room walls have no installation so we suffered from noise in the next room one night, other night was ok, service, breakfast and hospitality was great!

Die/der Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Das Haus sieht aus wie auf den Fotos. Rajan hat alle seine Gäste bei der Organisation von Ausflügen und Transport top unterstützt. Das Essen ist lecker. Die ganze Stimmung ist sehr angenehm und entspannt - home away from home. Die Bettwäsche ist weich und riecht gut! Ich empfehle diese Unterkunft sehr.-

Rajan was an excellent host . Very warm and welcoming . It was one of the homeliest homestays we have experienced . While it is not really a heritage building , it is made to feel like one .

A beautifully decorated villa in Chettinad style, where every decoration and furniture is chosen with lots of taste. It is located in a quite and safe neighbourhood. The bed is nice and soft and we had an excellent sleep. What made our stay here out of the ordinary is the host, Rajan who caters for all your needs, while his brothers and sisters help with amenities or transport via the travel desk. It feels like a home away from home, so much needed when you come from so far away. We enjoyed all the vegetarian South-Indian meals, the explanations about ingredients and the chats at the dinner table. We chose to have all the meals in the house ( for a small additional price) We even could try our hand at making the dosa. Rajan is as well a trove of travel advice in the Thanjavur area and can organize a tuk-tuk to the closer locations like the temple or the palace. He organised also a nice and safe taxi driver to our next destination. We warmly recommend Rajan and this beautiful house for a Thanjavur visit.
