Casa Clara - Playa Matagorda

Appartamento bellissimo e dotato di tutto il necessario. Ci siamo sentiti a casa! Posto in una zona vicinissima all’aeroporto e alle spiagge, è un ottimo punto di partenza per visitare la zona sud dell’isola. Il complesso dove si trova l’appartamento è tranquillo e turistico. La piscina è davvero bella e ben mantenuta. All’arrivo nel nostro appartamento abbiamo trovato acqua, vino e le cialde del caffè! Davvero un’ottima accoglienza!

Great big smart tv, clean and cosy environment, feels like home with helpful owners. Swimming pool was very refreshing.

Front door was difficult at first but owners helped quickly.

Solo traveler so it was very safe. The acomadation had everything I needed. It was comfortable and near the beach shops .

I was the for a week I found the Internet slow and didn't find any English channels on TV. Being on my own this would have been a bonus.

Just to clarify the reason we booked this hotel was because it was in a convenient location to explore the island, being next to airport and all, and also being rated as 9.4 at the time of booking (now it’s 9.1). Anyways, I would have probably opted for Punta Mujeres now, as it was different from what I expected. On one hand, there are really good things. The location IS great for exploration, there is a bar/restaurant/cafe in the location, you can park easily, the apartment is decent. It was nice to find the coffee machine inside and some coffee, a 5 euro wine and some water. However, for my wife, she was appalled by some dirty bed lining when we arrived. To be fair, they were changed on the same day, but it didn’t help with her mood. The sofa and the bar chairs were horrible, I still have pain in my lower back after trying to work a bit on these bar chairs that are far too tall. The pool is not “private”. Somehow, based on photos, I imagined it’s sort of private apartment with own entrance and possibly pool and I got mistaken (my own problem, I guess). The location to explore the island is good, but also consider which part you want to go to, because it still takes a while to go to some of the places, like Orzola. The bed was fairly decent, but still it was quite cold in the bedroom. Overall, it is kind of a fair apartment, but I have no clue how it is above 9 in Booking.com in the first place.
