City Centre Georgian Qtr Apartment Canning St 2bed 2bath

Very nicely decorated, lots if room for two sisters traveling together comfy beds

Was a bit misleading not mentioning apartment was down below yet used front door shots at street level. Could hear dog in back and upstairs but quiet by 9:30pm

The apartment was comfortable, remarkably quiet but yet still central for shopping or visiting attractions. The host was friendly and approachable with a late check out when requested. Facilities were great and the proximity to Hope Street where our daughter lives was excellent.

I can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

The apartment is in a great location. It's only a 10 minute walk to the centre, but the Georgian quarter feels like you're further out of town. The buildings are beautiful and it's good to see them being preserved and used. The cathedral is a must for any visit to Liverpool and it's just across the road. There are plenty of places to eat or have a coffee or a drink within an easy 5 minute walk without having to go back into the centre, and most of them are independent businesses with their own unique atmosphere. It is also really close to the philharmonic hall, so if you are visiting for a show then this apartment is perfect. The host is very helpful and friendly. If you're driving, ask for details of their secure parking which is only a couple of streets away and is very reasonably priced. We had a great stay and won't hesitate to book again next time we visit Liverpool.

There wasn't anything to criticise

Excellent location within 10 minute walk of City Centre Host was very attentive and maintained contact throughtout

Unfortunately we arrived after dark to find that we were unable to lock the glazed French door from the bedroom / back door. We immediately informed the host who already knew but couldn’t arrange for her usual carpenter to attend to resolve the situation before our arrival. We were assured the issue would be resolved the next day. It wasn’t. The severity of the issue was completely lost on the host. She just said that she lived above and had a Ring camera in the back yard so we were safe. No offence but we didn’t know these people from a bar of soap. We felt anything but secure. The door opened into a small garden that had a high brick wall around it that then backed onto a dimly lit, quiet lane very near to busy pubs and restaurants. We had to take our valuable with us every time we left the apartment and were expected to sleep unable to secure the apartment for the three nights of our stay. We enjoyed the location. The apartment had been well presented with comfortable mattresses (albeit doubles on very squeaky bed frames), crisp linen and plenty of towels. Both showers leak onto the bathroom floor due to missing sections of shower screen or doors coming off their runners. Some areas of the apartment are very tired. We booked due to the location and the fact that our 16 year old dog was welcome. We feel so let down by the host re the duty of care for our security and the security of our belongings that this marred the rest of our stay. We couldn’t wait to leave.
