FEEL - Porta Nuova Apartment

On the day of arrival, the host sent a video of how to access the apartment, this is a great idea and made check in very easy. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We only stayed for 1 night but could easily have stayed much longer. I had a great night sleep in this apartment, the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Location

Bed was terrible. You can hear every spring of that bed and feel every movement of other person. Impossible to sleep in that kind of bed.

There was a lovely feel to the location and the apartment. The apartment was bright, spacious and clean. There was ample room for me and my family. The instructions to access the apartment were exceptionally clear. We will definitely stay here again.

The central location of the apartment, near the railway station, bus stops to/from the airport, supermarket, cafes, gelateria, New Town and Old Town sights makes this apartment ideal whatever your purpose of travel - and given how central it is, it is very quiet!

The apartment is quite sparsely furnished e.g. nowhere to store clothes in the bedrooms

We never got to the Porto Nuova Apt. There was a problem with the apt and on the way into town from the airport we were offered an alternative (the Piazza Pontida Balcony Apt) which we agreed to. We only had a day and a half in Bergamo and didn't want to waste time dragging around looking for somewhere to stay. The location was good, quiet enough and good restaurants and bars nearby. It was clean.

Access, not good, on third floor, when we were expecting the first, important when as we are all in our 70s, one needs a walking stick. The furnishings were very basic. We were expecting four poster beds and a homely decor, but we got very basic stuff. There was no sitting area, no TV, just 4 kitchen chairs, basic beds. Shower the smallest I've ever seen. Poorly equipped, no corkscrew! Supposed to be non-smoking but there was a strong smell of cigarettess. Tiny balcony (too small to sit down!) and the terrace was just part of the stairwell. There were other issues too. Given that we given poor accommodation instead of what we paid for we contacted FEEL to get a refund but we were ignored, by FEEL and then by booking.com. I will never use booking.com again (after maybe 12 years!) and would urge anybody thinking of going to a FEEL property to GO ELSEWHERE!

Apartment is located between train station and the old town - very good place to stay for few days. Bedroom widows are heading towards backyard so it's quiet. Clean apartment.

One of the beds was noisy - might be problematic for a light sleepers.
