Great location, good amount of space, comfortable enough

It was a little scruffy in some areas and the kitchen floor was very sticky

The house was nice - well-equipped and clean. Really good location for us, and clean.

The decor is quite dated. I also didn't like the communication - I was often sent lists of rules in what felt like quite an aggressive manner - you must not do this, you must not do that etc. I realise they have to stipulate rules but this was done in a way that made us feel unwelcome before we'd even got there. Also, I didn't receive the lock key instructions and had to ask for them - and the response was passive aggressive. I was also instructed to give a £300 deposit on an external website - while this was stipulated in the T&C's, it wasn't immediately evident and I've never been asked to do this before. Also, it took a while to get the security deposit back once we had left. The emails acknowledge their sterness and say it's because of bad past experiences with guests. But to treat every guest as a potential problem isn't the way forward.

Lovely house - clean, comfortable, good size with nice outside space. Close to station and town - about 15min walk. Beds comfortable, lounge good size, kitchen had everything we needed. Communication was very good - replied quickly to any question, easy access to properry. Would happily stay again

Excellent comfortable and attractive homely house and garden. We’ll equipped. V well located for town, river, swimming and Glyndebourne.

The heating seemed to be set to come on at about 7.30 or 8, but it was far too hot!!
