2BD Garden Hideaway in Lewes

Really enjoyed the house, the garden, the fireplace and the location within walking distance of town.

The two standout features of the property were the wood burner in the lounge (kindling and logs provided) and the surprisingly pleasant walk along the riverbank into Lewes Town Centre and back. Lots of food and drink options just 10 minutes away. The garden looked like it would have been great if we had come in the summer, rather than November.

The host was quick to respond to my messages. The property location was good for what I needed, and there's a Tesco within an easy walk from the house.

The washing machine was full of wet, moldy kitchen linens when I arrived. It took a few hours for me to get the machine clean enough to where I felt comfortable doing my own laundry in it. There were a few maintenance issues, which the host warned me about before my arrival: Front patio door is very difficult to lock; porch light is out, so entry at night requires a flashlight,.

Everything was great. Only feedback for improvement would be to look at electric shower and shower head. Very low pressure, slow water spray.

Lovely home from home. Well equipped and roomy. 10 minute walk from the town centre and close to Tesco for everyday shopping. Quiet location and easy on road parking.

Nothing. To say there was something we didn’t like would be churlish.
