"The perfect B&B"

The host Amanda could not do more to improve your stay at the Poplars. She always went above and beyond and the rooms are lovely. Breakfast was also outstanding. Would definitely stay again.

"Great host!"

Amanda was a great host, I originally booked a room for my husband and I as a base for a wedding that we were attending at Thirsk Barn, then later got another room for my mother in law and autistic sister in law. Amanda was a great help to both and came to the rescue with a step to help get onto the bed as we had forgot to pack ours, she also took us to the venue on the morning of the wedding as we couldn’t get a taxi. Breakfast was amazing, I didn’t fancy a baguette, Amanda very kindly made using sliced bread and not the baguette, I would definitely book again if we were in that area again

Friendly welcome as always with very good breakfast and comfortable room and good location. We have stayed at Poplars many times and will try to stay here when we are in the area and if there is room available:)

We had a wonderful stay at The Poplars. From the warmest, friendly welcome from Amanda to a spacious, luxurious well appointed room and topped off with delicious freshly cooked breakfasts of top quality ingredients! Extremely convenient location for us and parking too. Would love to return!

The property is in a great location near both the train station and the lovely town of Thirsk. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast fantastic. The host was very friendly and helpful

The Poplars -Absolutely brilliant, beautiful home , comfortable room & bed, lovely breakfast. Perfect location for Thirsk and surrounding areas. Close to train station , train 15mins to York. Highly Recommend.
