Food was pretty good! The kitchen staff were pleasant. Chef was really nice and decent and left a good impression.

Everything! I had a good impression of the place despite it being a small place as I had stayed here about 3 years ago. It was a quaint little spot then. But this time it was horrible. It was like having booked a bed in a local wine store bar! There was horrendously loud live music (not even pleasant!) that went on till 12 30am on a sunday (into the Vesak poya day!) even in the absence of an actual crowd! At check in (late check in may be around 7ish?) walked into noise with everyone just drinking in every corner it was a mistake to have stayed the first night too. Just thought the music will die down atleast by 10pm. Worst stay ever. Didnt get a wink of sleep. The manager was rather rude and unprofessional too (reeking of alcohol) when I went and spoke to cancel the 2nd night right away because I realised it was shit. They should have informed if there was going to be a party (staff party?) But they werent even apologetic about all the noise till 12 30am! It is an impression ruined forever Also the rooms were moldy! I knew they were gonna be small cz it was a small spot even as I remembered. But I wonder how there is this much (see pics- I took at check in) mold in rooms and the place still has only good reviews. Didnt stay the 2nd night and left after paying the commission for cancellation.
