La Mansarda

Perfect location for walking in to central Como (5 mins). Conveniently located between the two main train stations in the town which helps if you wish to take day trips to the likes of Milan, Lugano and other towns on the lake itself. There is a supermarket just 30 seconds away on foot which was very convenient for us. The apartment itself was spacious for our group of four adults (across the three rooms). Good air conditioning although the lounge one was inconsistent and sometimes wouldn’t switch on. To be fair to the hosts, they offered to come and have a look at it but we decided to just get on with it as there was a fan in that room as a back up. We received a welcome pack including a bottle of fizz which we hugely appreciated. The entry instructions were very clear and we were sent a digital guestbook prior to our stay with useful information which put our minds at ease before we had even arrived. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment and would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Air con was difficult to switch on in the lounge but this wasn’t the end of the world as there was a fan anyway.

The apartment is located in beautiful old tenement house. This was our climate so we were feeling as in home. Great property with close distance to everything in Como. Parking space is a big asset as there are limited parking lots in the city

Lack of the elevator. But this was not annoying. We were enjoying beautiful staircase

One of the best rentals I have stayed in. The location was perfect. Easy walk to the ferry and surrounding restaurants. The apartment was a great size and layout for two couples. The hosts went above and beyond to welcome us.

Spacious and clean. Well equipped with everything you need. Air con is good in hot summer

Top floor with many stairs should be mentions in description. We had tons of luggage with us and it’s loads for work to move luggage up and down. Hot water pressure was very very low in shower, it almost doesn’t work.
