Nyanse Homestay - Raja Ampat

Wir haben das Homestay wegen der guten Bewertungen gebucht, fanden aber, dass sich hier im Vergleich zu anderen Homestays Raja Ampats weniger Mühe gegeben wurde: Die Bungalows haben unterschiedliche Qualität, obwohl sie gleich viel kosten. Nur zwei von fünf Bungalows haben eine Sonnenliege, ein Bungalow ist sogar nicht mit Meerblick, obwohl so beworben. In diesen Bungalow wurden während unserer Anwesenheit zwei mal Neulinge (wir eingeschlossen) einquartiert, die wechselten, als was anderes frei wurde. Der Ort hat Potential und ist schön über den Mangroven gebaut, aber es gab keine hübschen Dekorationen, wie in anderen Homestays. Die Bungalows werden auch nicht in Stand gehalten, sodass die älteren weniger gut in Schuss sind. Wenn etwas kaputt ist, hat man das Gefühl, dass man sich selbst um Reparatur kümmern muss. Während unseres Aufenthalts ging auch mehrfach täglich der Kaffee leer, sowie täglich das Klopapier und man musste sich immer selber darum kümmern, das nachgefüllt wird. Die Preise für Transport und Touren sind hier überdurchschnittlich, so dass sich die Gäste um Alternativen für den Transport bemühten. Die Schnorcheltour, die wir hier gebucht haben, war dann aber auch sehr gut. Während unseres Aufenthaltes waren die Strömungen am Hausriff sehr stark und nur für gute Schwimmer geeignet.

The hut above water was nice. We even had a big sun bed. The food was tasty and plenty. Afternoon snack was nice. The family was friendly. The village kids were friendly.

The snorkelling tour was not amazing. We asked for going out one day in advance, but the boat was not ready due to a low ride at the planned departure time the next day. When we were finally out in Gam Bay, the sunshine was already gone. When we headed to the second spot, the sky became black, and we were afraid of the rain and decided to cancel and return back to the home stay. The reef near to Jetty is not amazing either.

We stayed here for 6 nights and we did not regret it. The family is very lovely, they will help you out with all things and have a good sense of humour. The food was great and they made so many vegetarian plates which were all very tasty. They kept on changing the dishes and there was always plenty. The house we stayed in was on top of the water and very peaceful. It felt like a home away from home. Thank you 🙏🏼

Great homestay, great location, the view from the bungalow is beautiful, sunset every night, we even saw dolphins and mantas passing in front of the bungalow. Fernando and his family are very very nice, very helpful. They are very caring and do their best to make you have a good time. The food was good, snacks are also served at 4:30pm. They offer snorkeling tours, they are great, you even have a guide from the family with you! He found mantas twice ❤️. We really loved our stay at Nyanse homestay and highly recommend you to stay there! You can also visit the villages behind which is also very nice!

Die Lage ist sensationell! Von Steg aus haben wir Haie, Delfine, Schildkröten und sogar 3 Mantas gesehen! Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt! Wer mit der Steh-Toilette und dem indonesischen Standards klar kommt, findet hier ein kleines Paradies! Im Dorf nebenan kann man die tolle Schule und den von den Schülern betriebenen Saftladen besuchen. Wirklich toll!! Ich schreibe eigentlich nie Reviews. Aber hier mache ich sehr gerne eine Ausnahme

Me gustó que estaba limpio, organizado y ambiente calmado. Tiene buenas vistas y la comida estaba buena. El trato es cercano con Ferdinand y su familia.

No lo recomiendo si no vas a hacer buceo y/o no toleras las ratas porque cuando cae la noche salen y estan por todos lados, incluidas las habitaciones, cocina y baño. El problema de las ratas está por toda la isla pero en este homestay no se hace nada para controlarlas. No tiene escuela de buceo lo que implica coger si quieres bucear un bote-taxi que vale 30€ i/v. Hay que tener en cuenta que llegar alli desde el puerto cuesta 100€ i/v por barco del cual no sabes nada hasta que llegas allí y no puedes valorar otras opciones porque no hay.

Very simple, but friendly and wonderfully located. Great host family and world-class snorcheling guiding.

Very nice family who run the Homestay. They manage to arrange every tour or transport you need . The son of Ferdinand, Alvaro took us to his school just next to the Homestay. The school is founded by a Swiss guy who educates children from the islands and teaches them in English and raises awareness about environmental and marine protection. Very impressive and worth visiting.

Incredible location, great experience staying with family, good food, availability of laundering ,comfortable mattress, terrific tours from homestay and charming local community, wonderful cultural experience ( local primary school had dance and singing performance.)

Nothing that wasn’t expected given the price and location - including basic but clean toilet facility, limited daily electricity( on at night though) and things expected and unavoidable living so close to nature. Make sure you have weather protection clothing ready on boat transfers!
