I had a very disturbing experience during my stay. On the day before check-out, while I was taking a nap, someone banged heavily on the door. When I didn’t answer, a man used a key code to open the door and entered without permission. He claimed to be the “owner” and said he came to check the water, briefly looked around, then left. I immediately contacted the host, who told me that they never allow anyone to enter the apartment without permission and that this man was not related to them. I realized I had actually seen this same man inside the building the day before. I reported all of this to the host, but the only response I got was that they had informed the police and told me to “stay safe.” They didn’t even bother to come change the electronic lock code. To make matters worse, the apartment has no inner lock, so “locking up properly” is meaningless. I felt unsafe the entire time, unable to even go out sightseeing on my last day because I was afraid someone might come in again. In the morning, when I stepped out to buy a coffee, I even noticed someone hiding near the building entrance, which made me feel terrified. No matter how good the location or the room itself may be, basic safety should always come first. This place failed to provide that. I strongly advise against staying here—especially for women traveling alone. Absolutely unacceptable.

Cute & large studio with such a beautiful character in perfect location! Flat as well - not as hilly as upper side. Clean, enough equipments like washing machine!! It was not as noisy as some other people rated but maybe because we had the top floor with good thick and far enough windows to block the noise. Although our flight landed late, I was able to check in myself fairly easily on our own. Communication via booking.com messaging and WhatsApp made it easier!

The instruction they gave me was “turn left” after entering codes but it was turn “right!!!!” We struggle to open for about 15-20 min until I could reach the emergency number. Though it was a negative start, they did have the emergency number and via WhatsApp they were nice so it was ok!

Lovely apartment with a very fresh and cool atmosphere. And it was perfectly located for everything we could want to experience about Lisbon.
