"Charming historic cottage in beautiful surroundings."

10.0

We absolutely loved the cottage and surroundings, it was an ideal place for us to stay with our dogs. The cottage is cosy and comfortable, had everything we needed, and the local walks and railway ride are beautiful. The Railway Inn is great too.

Nothing major, maybe ventilation in the bathroom needs improving - think the fan is broken.

Robert's Cottage, I wish it was mine. Not the financial building, the home. It was so tranquil.

Spider 🕷. However, it is the countryside

"We had a lovely weekend. Just a few tweaks and the cottage could be much improved."

7.0

Beautiful scenery and good location for travelling to nearby attractions (Bala and Barmouth), pet friendly, reasonably priced, the story of how the cottage came to be.

The toilet was difficult to flush. Some of the decor needs refreshing, and the flooring in the kitchen needs to be replaced . Having more tea towels would also help.

"Enjoyable, but we had pleasant weather and a walk up Snowdon."

9.0

I was happy with the Welsh cottage. I understand when shut up a musty smell. Flagstones laid on earth 149 years ago. Just bung the heating on fast, warm it through and it is excellent. Of course it’s different from a modern house, but this place was comfy and well equipped except a TV. One thing time to change the kitchen floor covering.

Kitchen floor covering; needs replacing, A TV would be good. Thanks Lisa .

"Very poor"

2.0

The location and area were great with lots of walking places. The cottage had a unique history and has had some improvements made.

The cottage had an overwhelming smell of damp and was cold. The main surfaces and bedding was clean but the floors, walls and bathroom were dirty and worn with badly finished repairs or maintenance. It had the potential to be so much better than it was. We wont return here.

"Lovely Miniature museum"

10.0

On entering the cottage there was quite a large gap above the front door so didn't look very inviting on opening the door looked like we had walked into a museum but on saying g that once we read the instruction file and it explained the history of the cottage our first impressions went right out the window it was so interesting a peace of history there was everything you wanted in the cottage apart from a T V but we took our own with the euros been on my husband and brother in law are football mad all in all a interesting comfortable cottage with stunning views all round
