Beautiful, cozy and surprisingly spacious cottage. Clean, with everything ready. Wifi worked perfectly as well.

Not really negative but the shower was a bit of a headscratcher, it was short and tiny. A bit cold when we first arrived with "do not touch" heaters instructions but without them, we could not heat the house at all.

"Amazing cottage would certainly stay again if in the area it’s not everyone’s let’s say cup of tea but we would come bac"

Had everything and for us no tv was great, the wood stove was a good rental point too comfy and quiet with outdoor space .Would have liked to stay longer .

Needs a deep clean and we are not fussy by any standard maybe a professional company?.There is a mice problem maybe traps mainly in the kitchen but it’s in the country so maybe quite common. No local shop to walk too but only being honest .

"A tranquil delight in great walking country."

10.0

Location is ideal for hill walking- not just the obvious ones - and the steam railway, The kitchen was excellently equipped, especially for making proper tea and coffee. If it had not rained so much we could have sat out in either the front or back garden. The beds ensured a restful sleep. The lounge was lovely, especially when the wood- burning stove was all aglow. Rather delightfully and helpfully, there is a whole array of leafleted walks and maps for the area. We found the local people absolutely delightful and friendly. The recently-reopened pub, The Railway Inn, has homely food ( Lunch and evening meals Wednesday to Saturday, plus Sunday lunchtimes) and three real ales, as well as friendly staff.

The worst thing was leaving the place. Parking was on occasion a bit tricky, because there were two (!!) caravans parked in the street two days.

It was really nice to sit next to the fire burner.A very cosy and peaceful place.

It will be nice to have one more armchair or another sofa.
