Bit pricey but no more so than anywhere in the UK at the moment!

"A lovely relaxing place to stay"

8.0

Beautifully furnished, very homely, feature fireplace with wood burner. Comfortable beds and sofas. Quiet location. Amazing breakfast basket and milk provided. Shampoo soaps toothbrush etc all provided. House warm has central heating. Very fast Wi-Fi around 900 mbs. Lovely warm shower with instant hot water. Owner responded straight away when contacted and was very polite and helpful.

Steep stairs with limited landing area requiring stair gate for safety. No upstairs toilet. Step between dining room and toilet not marked so missed it until we placed an orange bag to remind us to step down . Street access steps are old steep and worn . No parking permit for residents bays opposite so parked 200 metres away up a hill. Hive heating controls inoperable at time of stay but could still turn heating off from the back bedroom control so this is as not a problem. Bath has some rust spots. Front door letter flap blows open with the wind. No net curtain in front lounge window.. Despite this we had a wonderful stay

"A charming cottage for the perfect holiday in the Mumbles"

10.0

We loved staying at this cottage at the Mumbles. There is a steep hill to get to the cottage and a few steep stairs into the cottage which made using a pram a little bit difficult but it was well worth staying in this lovely cozy cottage. The living room area was great for our little one to crawl around and very comfortable to lounge in after exploring the beautiful Mumbles. The kitchen is small but has everything you need to do a bit of cooking and of course, the hamper was a lovely treat. The stairs are very steep with narrow steps so it's something to consider if you have any mobility issues or have very small children. The bedrooms were wonderfully decorated and very comfortable. Our baby's cot was already set up on arrival which was really handy too. Definitely recommend.

Travellers should be aware of the narrow and steep staircase before booking. There's no parking for visitors right outside the property but it was easy enough to unload outside the cottage and park in nearby streets.

"Disappointed, noisy neighbours ruined my break. More like 3 star accommodation."

5.0

Comfy main bed, well decorated upstairs.

Not the relaxing quiet break I had hoped. Very thin walls so noise from both sides from neighbours with small children was a problem. Stayed over the weekend and both sets of neighbours had guests and loud noise. The one side had what must have been a party and the music was going until 5am. Contacted the cottage owners around 4am and they advised I called the police. I explained I did not want to do that as I was holidaying on my own and did not want any come back. I had needed a relaxed break but was glad to get home to some quiet. I requested a refund for the saturday night when I was kept awake all night but they said they can't do anything about neighbours noise. They said it had never happened before but I can't imagine anyone being happy with the thin walls and noise travel. Cottage itself was okay but stairs were a hazard as they were open and steep and uneven so some may struggle. The kitchen was adequate but needed updating...most appliances were trailed using extension leads which did not appear that safe? Bathroom could also do with updating. It was a shame the owners were not willing to refund the one night especially as this cottage was not cheap.
