Gorgeous Boutique Flat Sleeps 2 in Lyme Regis

The apartment was lovely but needing a touch up of paint and the damp patches remedied It all felt a little damp in places at times

If the apartment above also belongs to the downstairs one I would recommend different flooring upstairs You can hear every move they make and the letting on Thursday 7th August 2025 sounded like they were rearranging all the furniture which was very disturbing

Very comfortable apartment. All facilities needed for a short stay, very close to the town centre, and a very comfy bed!

Nice furniture, good shower, comfy bed, parking for a small car (but there is a reasonable car park just down the road anyway).

Damp in the walls and air. The atmosphere is horrible. You have to keep front door open for fresh air. Mold in living room. Paint peeling off. Paint scuffs galore. This is a ground floor flat that becomes a basement flat because it is on such a steep hill. Subsequently it is dark and limited ventilation possible. It doesn’t matter how nice the furniture is if the walls are wet. The hill up to the flat also very hard work and noise from above ridiculous. Why no noise insulation and why has this place not been tanked properly? We paid £168 for one night. Not good value despite the parking. Added a few photos but I could have taken many others.

We booked this place over a year in advance choosing it over everything else available because of the great view over the bay. We should have checked the reviews nearer the time we stayed, because as someone pointed out in Jan 2025, not only was the view not a view from the flat itself but the view (behind the bins in the parking bay) has since been blocked by the neighbours who erected a fence specifically to block it. The photos have been changed but nobody thought to let existing bookings know that the main selling point was gone So the flat is basically a low ceiling box without a view. Couple that with the fact you can hear absolutely everything that goes on upstairs including baby and dog and it makes for a very disappointing experience.

Didn't realise shower gel is not provided. TV streaming buffers a bit but streaming through my own laptop worked fine

The property was very comfy and had everything we needed.

My only criticism would be the dog in the property directly above was running around on wooden floors and it was very noisy very early in the morning.

This apartment has several perks: * Parking spot. You can park under a covered space next to the apartment. Extra useful. * Central location. From there you can easily go in and out of the city centre * Spacious. You have plenty of space

No hair dryer!

It was perfectly functional place to stay with lovely decor and care and attention of host to details was clear. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped but could do with a few extra utensils, glasses etc.

It’s a basement with no visibility to outside from inside so a bit claustrophobic. That said it’s an excellent use of space. The climb up the hill was a challenge for us - we are reasonably fit but older! That said, it was great value for central Lyme in summer and parking nearby was great - albeit a bit of a climb from car park to flat.
