City Centre 2 Bed Room Apartment Free Parking

Apartment was clean and fresh on arrival. Quiet stay. Hosts instructions on check in process was very clear and we got to the room with no issues at all. Free parking! The host allowed us to leave our car in the car park on day of checkout whilst we went out for breakfast and did a bit of shopping in the town. Location is great 15 minute walk into the centre. Communication with the host was really good.

The place was in a tower block where people live, its not a Luxury Apartment. It really needs some TLC and things replacing. There was a bad smell in the main bedroom and there was a raised floorboard in the hallway which one of us tripped on. I wish I had read all the reviews before booking it.

I think there are a few things that could have been refreshed especially the flooring in the hallway.

Full address not given so wasted time trying to locate the property. Once located we realised it was NOT a luxury apartment as stated, it was in fact an inner city tower block! One of the lifts was out of order and the place had a very dodgy feel too it, externally grubby and smelling strongly of weed. Not a place for families! Internally the entire place was very grubby, fridge and cutlery were disgusting and unwashed and after taking shoes off brand new white socks were black with dirt within 10 mins so no idea when the floors were last cleaned. Main bedroom smelled of urine, lots of broken items including veneer coming off in the kitchen, toilet roll holder, shower fixture, shelf in bedroom, floorboards in hall which created a tripping hazard and there was also some exposed wiring on the ceiling lights. No bed linen provided for the sofa beds, no hand soap, no towels, WiFi wasn’t working properly which meant we also couldn’t use the television. Just generally an absolute nightmare! Host was responsive and apologetic and brought a few of the missing items at our request while we were out for the evening, but even that was problematic as we had the ONLY key for the property and had to leave it for him in unsecured mail box on the ground floor in order for him to gain access (at HIS instruction) which was therefore a security risk. Reviews up til April when we booked were fairly decent, so I’m not entirely sure what’s happened since then, but I would advise anyone visiting Liverpool to book elsewhere as this property (Bispham House) is NOT as advertised!

Location was ideal.

The place is in a block of flats so it has residents in the building. Water started coming out of the sink when someone used the shower. Unfortunately no one could take a shower during our visit Property manager tried to sort but to no avail.

The lift was out of order on both days, therefore we had to walk to the 12th floor with all our bags. The diffusers were overpowering when you entered the apartment. The toilet seat wouldn’t stay up and you had to hold the shower head to have a shower. The place was a little bit tired, and we had to fix one of the blinds!

The location, views, decoration, cleanliness and free parking were excellent.

Improvement: no WiFi (confusing communication about this being sorted during our stay, which was a shame as communication during the rest of our stay was excellent), floorboard was a trip hazard, toilet moved when you sat on it, shower holder and fridge shelves were broken.

Host met us and showed us the apartment.
