Town centre flat in Darlington (free Parking)

It was a 5-minute walk to the town, spacious and perfect for a 2-night stay in Darlington.

A very minor issue -- Not being a particularly handsy person myself, I had some trouble opening the master lock to find the keys but thankfully the host called another person from the property to help me. After seeing how they opened it, it was really easy to leave the keys inside the box after my stay. Also, since we were there for 2 days and we were all day out, we couldn't figure out how to operate the showerhead as it was attached to sth else, but we didn't ask for instructions either. something to bear in mind to ask beforehand.

This is a very spacious flat with some very good aspects. Especially a fantastic central location. Large living area an a good kitchen, large bathroom an decent size bedroom 👍

The flat lacks some attention/TLC, it is great value for money but basic. The lounge sofa is uncomfortable if you intend to sit in at an evening. The bed is comfortable but very soft so as I am heavy it was difficult for my wife to sleep. The windows could do with some attention as only one opens

The Location was the best bit about the flat

Someone not meeting me at the property and handing me over the keys, if there was any issue then one can sort them out right there. The door was a struggle to get into as the lock seemed not to give way to the key until you fiddled with it for quite sometime, then one evening after returning from town in the evening the turning lock on the inside fell off, locking me in and me then call for on duty manger to come sort this out,21:30 in the evening. The matters was of poor quality and need to be replaced, there is no facility to hang your clothes which I found very annoying. there was not enough pots and pans and the KFS were just chucked into the draw with not attention to detail, there was no chopping board, the simple things were done really bad. Id suggest a better shower, something with a b it more kick, say a rain shower

It's a 10 minutes walk from the train station,there is a big Sainsbury's just 5 min walk across the road ,town is 5 min walk out the back of the property, kitchen is good and clean ,shower was good easy to use ,bath is good size . Toiletries provided and cleaning stuff in kitchen,tea and sugar.

Toilet seat not on securely,no towels had to go buy two from Sainsbury's, bedroom curtain let's to much light in 😎, blackout curtains needed,and only 1 pillow each 2 each would have been better.

The flat is very central, a few steps away from the Vue cinema. Despite the vicinity of the main road the bedroom faces the back of the building and it is quiet. The apartment is spacious and kettle, microwave, electric jobs and oven are provided. The staff is very kind, replies quickly and is available to help.

Despite there's a lot of space, the furniture in the apartment is minimal. There's no table, only a desk with one (office) chair. In the bedroom there's no wardrobe (only a small canvas chest of drawers) and only a small double bed (not very comfortable to be honest). No extra pillows or blankets are provided by default (maybe one can ask, to be fair we didn't because on the first night we arrived late). The kitchen had very few utensils (one small pot, one small pan). The bathroom has a weird floor, probably some sort of adhesive paper that's coming off because of humidity, the window also doesn't work well.
