The Beach Hytte - Stunning Sea View Penthouse

We recently stayed at the Beach Hytte penthouse-style apartment and overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. The venue is stunning, with a spacious living area, a lovely kitchen, modern bathroom and shower facilities, and a very comfortable bed. The Sky Glass TV with Netflix and reliable WiFi were excellent features that added to our comfort. James was very responsive to messages and eager to help, which we appreciated. However, we did feel that the apartment was slightly overpriced for what was provided. It would be a suitable stay for a family of 3 or 4 or even two couples, though it is on the pricier side.

The blinds in the south-facing bedroom aren’t very effective at blocking out sunlight, so you might find yourself waking up earlier than planned. Additionally, the batteries were missing from the lounge TV remotes, though James assured us he could get some over by 9:30pm. The apartment itself can get quite warm during the day/early evening as it doesn’t seem to have air conditioning, and with the thermostat preset (cannot adjust), it stays warm in the evenings

The location was fantastic, no need to use the car as beach 5 min walk . The views were stunning from the penthouse .very spacious for 4 adults .

For what we paid for 2 nights, I would have expected the cleanliness of the penthouse to be much better . The fridge was dirty. The cooker had grease in it with dirty food from previous occupants, and it smelt, so we didn't use it . Cups had all stains in them, so we had to wash them before using them. The glass windows surrounding the penthouse look like they have never been cleaned this season . They didn't have full seating covers for outdoor seating, so we used pillows . Lot's of cobwebs in the ceiling windows . Handle on wardrobe hanging off. Couldn't use TV as no batteries in remote, and no instructions on how to use anything. I know these may seem little things , but like I said , for the price, you would expect better . X

Location is absolutely superb, really close to Alum Chine Beach and the wooded chine itself. The apartment itself is stunning. The view is fabulous from the terrace, the fact that you can open all the full glass fronted walls is an credit to the owners especially on a sweltering day. Fells like you are in a very expensive Mediterranean location! The 2 bathrooms (main and ensuite) are chic and clean, the layout is fantastic and oozes class, the beds are really comfortable. The provided iron, ironing board, hair dryer and airer came in really handy.

All minor issues in the grand scheme of things when you consider the view and comfort this outstanding property provides but.. No fault of the owners but lack of parking is a pain, had to circle several times to find a space. the outside of the building is a little dated but the inside of the apartment wows you. The cleaning crew could have done a better job, there was popcorn on the rug, stuck on food on the cushions of the sofa, the oven grill rack had stuck on food - being a strict vegetarian this is off-putting, luckily we had brought some kitchen foil we could use - perhaps a roll provided would have been good. Although there is a grill it takes a while to warm it up to temperature, a simple toaster would have been handy. a bit pricey for 1 night considering check in is strict 3pm and check out is strict 10am but again this is a minor issue.

The location was fantastic. The apartment is stunning. Great views and lots of room.

The bed linen, duvet and pillows could do with being replaced as the cleanliness wasn’t great.

Location is unbeatable as the flat is 5 mins walk from a gorgeous beach, and the views are spectacular from the amazing wrap-around deck. Fantastic free parking outside.

As mentioned by other guests, the fixtures are very hard to understand. Trying to figure out the taps alone took us ages, and our kids hurt their fingers trying to swirl the bathroom tap around (literally a hole in the wall) to wash their hands. The blinds in the bedrooms are almost entirely see-through, so it was a struggle to sleep. This very bright flat desperately needs black out blinds with no gaps between them. There were no fans provided at all, so the flat was very hot. Really suggest these are included for future guests. The hair dryer was also very small and stopped working after it was used for more than a few minutes - needed to cool down before it would work again. Noise - there was major construction going on next door that we were not warned about. These things happen and are not the fault of the host, but some warning would have been much appreciated, as other hosts have done before. Both the microwave and toaster were in the cupboard but not plugged in. We could only find plug points near the ground in the kitchen, so had to make toast on the ground!

The Bewch Hytte was absolutely stunning! Incredibly furnished and what a beautiful view! Communication with the host was spot on too!

It's very close to the beach, and the check-in process (getting key from lock box) was very smooth.
