Ocean Walk Resort - Fabulous Ocean Front View

The resort is beautiful, the pools were awesome, the views were amazimg, and the suite was great. Our family had an amazing time.

The staff was all extremely cordial and helpful. The only exception was the security guard who yelled at us for trying to lay our towels on the lawn chairs. We went over to the Whyndam pool side and he said if we left our towels for more than 1/2 hour he would remove them. All week we watched people place their towels and not come down till later. I can only assume he was rude because we didn’t have the right colored bracelets on and we’re staying in the south tower and not the north. Both pools are open to both the north and south patrons. He said he “works things out with other people” and doesn’t remove their towels. The last thing I was going to g to do was give in to this guys obvious attempt at getting money on the side to leave our towels in place. I went back into the building and watched him let others put their towels down who were wearing the “Whyndam” bracelet and there the towels stayed and he never removed them. It would have been nice to know BEFORE we reserved the room that we would be segregated and treated differently.

The condo is in need of major repair. The wall by the front door actually moves when you open the door. The recliner in the room was wet when we got there and loaded with sand. All of the metal on the fixtures is rusting along with the front door of the refrigerator. Paint is coming off the baseboards and walls in some areas. There were only 3 towels in the room and we have 5 people. The king size bed is sunk in the middle. Everything in the room is very worn. I am very disappointed. We have stayed at Ocean Walk before and I didn't expect everything in the room to be so dilapidated. The kitchen was decent. The was only tepid/warm water for showers the whole week we were there. We followed the directions emailed to us about letting the water run but it didn’t work. The ramp leading down to the beach was broken and my husband had to have help everytime we went down to the beach. This may not be the hotels fault however, just really inconvenient.

The people working at the front desk were very kind explaining everything. What to expect during our stay there. Everybody in general from the front desk to the cleaning crew of the common areas were very kind and willing to help you all the time. Me and my family had a great time.

I will say, nothing. Everything was great.

Location was excellent

Beds were horrible. Couldn’t sleep because the mattresses were probably 20 years old and caved in.

The pools and easy access to the beach

The parking. Had to pay for second car to park in the garage across the street. 😞

It was fun time. Keep the kids busy! Enjoy are time!!
