Marshmallow Cottage - Oxwich

The location was perfect and the off road parking a real plus. Just the right sized accommodation and the garden was lovely. We didn’t bring the dog but I definitely would again. First time somewhere has described itself as dog friendly and it actually has been!

It’s a really small thing but it smelt overly of bleach when we arrived and the floors were all smeary/sticky as if the floor had been done in a rush with a dirty mop. One of the towels we were left looked as if someone had wiped muddy feet on it! I’ve only taken one smiley face off for cleanliness as, once aired out and a quick do-over done on the floor it was fine.

Location is excellent. Loved the sheds to put beach stuff in,to dry wet towels and the hose to wash off sandy feet. The secure garden was great for the dogs. Parking excellent. Loved the wine fridge and freezer. Outside eating area was lovely. Kitchen was great.

It Would have been helpful to have a lock on the bathroom door and a way to turn the heated towel rail on in the bathroom with the hot water to dry out towels. Also would be helpful to have labelled boxes outside to put recycling into . Had no idea when it was collected. Was lovely and quiet location but on our last night our neighbours to the right of us in the modern annex to the Wesley cottage had a very noisy party and had to sleep with the windows shut to help stop the noise.

Good layout with plenty of room.

Operation of coffee machine and cooker difficult to understand. More detail of operation needed.

We love Oxwich and the Gower. The cottage was very comfortable.

Location was perfect, just a short walk from the beach and off road parking! Loads of space for chilling out inside, and a good sized garden for those rare times it's not raining! Kitchen was kitted out for what we needed, couldn't have asked for much more, and the bedrooms were more than comfortable enough. Loads of walking options from the cottage, and we even managed a quick dip in the sea (didn't cheat by using the sauna on the beach though!)

There was a smell of paint, but understandable as the place looks freshly decorated!
