The Old School Caeathro, Snowdon, Eryri and Yr Wydffa Cottages

A home from home accomodation. It was clean and everything was provided.

The place was very clean and had a kitchen with all appliances you would find at home except a dishwasher. The shower was nice and it had a cute table and chairs on the patio to eat alfresco. It was very close to llanberis just a short drive away. The host was very accommodating when I asked if I could come to property a little earlier and the text messages were polite.

The building was converted into three cottages linked together with original walls. It was quiet until the guests from the others cottages arrived home. You can hear every word spoken, every step taken on the stairs and every door closed. I moved to the furthest away bedroom and whilst that helped a little the kitchen doesn’t have a door separating from the stairs and even with bedroom door closed I could hear the electrical buzzing from the motors of the kitchen freezer and refrigerator. The blinds are situated directly overhead in the bedroom and cause a thin ray of light to be directed onto your eyelids. Whilst I did as instructed, I did not feel it was right to ask the guest to strip the beds on departure….one because of the price I paid to stay and two because I had a very early start to my day and this was an added unwanted task.

Communication from the host. Cottages where spotless.. location to Snowdon and the set up of the houses

Parking was tight, I appreciate there is no room for any more spaces. This was the only real down point as everything else was fantastic.

lack of parking. There should have been space for 2 vehicles but the space suggested for the second vehicle was steady occupied.

This property had basic amenities to get you up and running in the kitchen with lots of pots and pans to use. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean and homely.

The low ceiling structures in the upstairs caused a few headaches until I got used to ducking every time I walked around. Hard to see pulling out of parking area sometimes if other cars were nearby and the traffic was driving fast. Wifi range was a little restrictive.

We had two cottages next to each other and they worked really well for our family party of 12. Plenty of space, kitchen was well equipped and it was nice and warm. No complaints at all!
